"What do you mean you don't know"
I saw her gulp, her chest rising nervously and with struggle. She was afraid.
The sudden silence gave me time to inspect her, taking in her appearance. She had long, tangled blonde hair almost white that went to the middle of her waist. Her clothing barely cover her small body with pieces torn off. She was very skinny, a rib slightly showing even through her thin layer of cloth, hip and colour bones poking out of her skin. There was blood trickling down her left leg, defining that she has tripped and hurt herself on her run here.
I then saw her open her eyes back up, big blue orbs staring straight back at me. Her body was shaking with fear, the look on her face was soft, lips slightly open but trembling. She looked broken and absolutely petrified.I was stuck deciding whether I should continue speaking with her further or not, myself simply being afraid that she would run away again.
"Please, don't be afraid. I won't hurt you, I just want to help you. Come home with me so I can check your wound and find out more about you." I meant the word I said. We both were just staring into each other's eyes, here's were full of fear, and mine were full of desperation.
She broke contact, looking at my hand that was now geting tired from the time its beenhanging in the air waiting for her acceptance to take my hand and cone home with me. I could tell she was considering it, as she stopped shaking, and took a step forward. Her hand was going out to reachmine, but shakily. She gulped again, making contact with me before placing her small, petite hand in my big, rough one. I gave her a slight smile, seeing as she made progress by befriending me - well, I think.
I guided her back through the forest, stepping over rocks and going around trees to try to get her back to where I parked my car, at the side of the road. Her hands were still shaking in mine, the temperature of it suddenly turning cold from the goosebumps she was getting. I could hear her breathing heavily, but also hearing her trying so desperately to keep quiet.
She was walking right behind me when I started to drag her towards my car, but she stopped me. I looked at her, seeing her shaking her head, tears forming in her eyes. My lips curl into a soft smile, speaking gently," I'm not going to hurt you ok, I just to get you to somewhere safe and warm" I repeated to her. The girl inhaled and then exhaled, her eyes close was closing then opening when her head finally nodded.
I let go of her hand so I could remove my leather jacket so she could wear it. I handed it other which she gladly took and put it over her small body which happens to look even smaller wearing my jacket. Grabbing her hand again, then led her to my car, I open to back passenger door to let her in. Quietly she went in curling into a tiny ball at the other side. As I drove quietly glansing back at her I could see that she is fast asleep breathing slowly.
The only thought that have cross my mind at that time was who is she, where did she come.
My safety never really cross my mind I can easily fight her off due to her tiny frame and lack of muscle.
Now I'm just going to get her look at and feed her lots of chocolate and steak.
