A New Start (Leon x Gus)

Chapter 1: The Beginning

(N/A) This is my first book! So it may not be that good, I hope you enjoy it (^o^)

Gus was sitting down bored like always. "Hey, Gus!" Shade said he was clearly trying to distract Gus from the boredom since they have been sitting still for 12 minutes straight in awkwardness.

"Whats up?" Gus asked, his voice tired.

"Well, I have been thinking -" Shade was saying until Gus interrupted him.

"When do you ever think?" Gus said in a joking manner.

"Ouch, but like I was thinking, why don't we ever go outside? We always stay in the train station all alone and bored!" Shade answered his tone, changing with each sentence.

"That's not true! We go out sometimes to go star gazing, am I right? Actually, tomorrow we are gonna do that, remeber? And we aren't totally alone if we get visits from Fang, Buster, and sometimes Miasie.. plus, we have Chuck close by, although he is always in that shed that he made FOR HIMSELF ONLY!" Gus shouted the last part out to let Chuck know how Gus felt about his mini shed.

"I don't care it's mine and mine only!!" Chuck shouted back.

Shade just stared at the shed Chuck was in before looking back at Gus "well that might be true, but why don't we go to school like the other kids! And why don't we just go and live with Fang, Buster, and Maisie if they always come to visit?" Shade asked in a questioning tone.

"Well, I don't know. I guess we never really tried to ask or anything?" Gus answered as he started to also question why they didn't go to school or live with the three people who always seemed happy to visit them.

"Why don't we ask them when they come, I heard they were going to visit us this Saturday! We can make sure with Chuck, though.." Shade explained with a hopeful look on his face, "plsssss," he added.

"I guess we can try, although I am not sure if they will accept any of this..." Gus agreed with a calm and concerned tone. He truly felt nervous to ask them after all they come visit and are the only people who seem to care for Shade and Gus. He was even more worried about if they said no, would Shade get sad or worse, would they stop visiting the two nobal friends?

Gus removed the nerves with a shake. "We should go ask Chuck now that we have the idea so we can know the real date of the plan!" Shade said, completely ignoring Gus clear frustration.

"Yeah.. we should," Gus answered, slowly walking with Shade to the little shed. Gus hated the shed with all his might. Chuck never let them inside. It always seemed to be for weird occasions, like a potion or a testing thing with Willow involved. He just never really liked the shed that much or the person in it.

'Knock knock' Gus knocked on the door,
"YES, who is it?" Chuck asked.

"You know who it is!! Now open up you!" Gus yelled back,

"No, I don't know??" Chuck said in a jocking tone. He liked irritating people,

Gus sighed, "it's me, Gus, and I have Shade here two, now open up!" Gus answered, trying to keep his cool. He was clearly getting irritated by the unhelping attitude Chuck had.

"Hmmmm, Gus gus gus... Nope, there's no Gus on my friends list." Chuck said as he opened the door. "But I will let it slide, just this once!" He added.

"Great, thanks, I guess." Gus said in response to Chucks 'nice' gesture.'

"Thank you! :)" Shade said as he followed Gus inside.

"Now what brings you here, to my shed of destruction and terror?!" Chuck says in a mysterious and scary tone.

"Woah, so scary," Shade said as he applaused to Chuck.

"Were here so we can know when Fang, Buster, and Maisie are gonna visit us?" Gus asked with annoyance. He didn't really like Chucks interpretation of his 'shed of destruction and terror.'

"Oh well, if today is Thursday, then that must mean that hshshsh... I know it's gonna be this Saturday!" Chuck said in a happy tone.

"Great, thank you so much, Chuck!" Shade responded. As Gus and Shade walk out the shed. Gus could since hope, and he knew Shade did, too.

"Well, with this information, we can make a plan so they will for sure say yes to us!" Gus said in excitement.

"Or we can just ask them kindly," Shade responded. He didn't really think putting a big show to surprise them would help them decide to bring them home.

Gus whined, "But what if they say no :("
Gus answered after his whining shenanigans ended.

"If they were to say no, then why would they visit and care for us?" Shade said, trying to calm Gus. Gus has always been scared to try new things. Maybe that's the reason he never left or went to school. Shade knew this...

"You're right! I guess we should try your method. Either way, I don't know how to go through a fire, hoop..." Gus answered as he pointed at the fire hoop he had set up.

"WHAT GUS PUT THAT OUT OR WE WILL BURN!!" Shade yelled in terror. He was scared of that thing, catching on even more fire and burning the place down.

"Fine, but there no need to be afraid, see?" Gus said as he slowly put his hand in the fire hoop.

"G- Gus, you're BURNING!" Shade said as he quickly got a fire extinguisher, but then he saw another problem, "Darn it, I forgot I didn't have any limbs :/" Shade said as he cared the fire extinguisher

"WHAT are you really focusing on that then your friend who was a BURNING ARM!!" Gus yelled in the terror of his body burning and the pain he was feeling.

"Ouch, :(" Shade said as he looked at his zero limbs that were carrying the fire extinguisher. Although Gus was right, he shouldn't care about his zero limbs when Gus is out here almost dying?!

"You know I didn't mean it that way," Gus said as he saw the reaction Shade had to those words. "But please help, I'm BURNING," Gus then added. The fire was coming to his should.

Then, out of nowhere, Chuck got out his shed, probably because of the smoke the fire has created... he grabbed the fire extinguisher from Shade and immediately used it.

"WHAT did I tell you about using fire!" Chuck yelled at them.

"That we can use it as much as we want?" Shade answered.

"No, he is talking about the one where we can use it, but we have to use it carefully." Gus answered to Shade and Chuck.

"Oh," Shade replied.

"YES now you guys better not make me take away that privilege, alright!" Chuck said. After that, he went back to his shed.

"Welp, I guess we should sleep?" Gus said as he stared at a window showing only darkness.

"Yeah, and while we're at it, we should probably forget that any of this happened, hehe," Shade chuckled as he said that.

"You're right. We should.." Gus said as he never wanted to experience this ever again.

As they decided to sleep. They got a blanket and a pillow placed it on the floor of the train station and went to sleep. Spooky was chilling, he slept this whole day without even hearing the fire the screams. What a chill Ballon dog!

(N/A) welp that a wrap! I only made this because I was tired of being unable to find that many Gus x Leon fanfics :( I really want your honest opinion on this, btw. So, I will accept any constructive criticism! Have a nice day now!!!!
