Quit

Hey I'll I'm back! Sorry it took me so long but I haven't had very much motivation T^T

After Emma got out of the shower and got dressed, she grabbed her bag and went downstairs where Dylan was waiting. "Ready to go?" She asked as she put her shoes on.

Dylan turned his phone off and stood up as Emma came downstairs and into the living room. "Yeah sure." He said, grabbing his keys and heading towards the door.

*timeskip to the restaurant because I'm lazy*

They got out of the car and sat down outside, looking over the menu and placing drink and food orders. The waitress took their orders and menus before walking back into the restaurant. Emma stared at the cars driving by, trying to figure out how to tell Dylan she wanted to quit her job.

Dylan could tell there was something on Emma's mind since he got home but didn't push on the topic. Eventually Dylan got annoyed and decided to say something. "Everything okay? You've been off since I got home."

Emma took a sip of her drink, (pretend the waitress already brought the drinks) and thought about how to word it.

"I quit my job." Emma said, bracing herself to be yelled at or told not to quit. Dylan stared at her and started laughing. "That's what you were so scared to tell me? It's fine, I make plenty of money for the two of us and if you're unhappy, all that matters is to do what's best for yourself."

Emma was relived to hear that he wasn't mad and smiled as the waitress brought their food and left again. "Are you sure? I can always get another j-." Dylan cut her off, shoving a breadstick in her mouth. "Shush. I told you it's fine, just do what's you think is best."

Emma laughed and took a bite of the breadstick before putting it on the plate and looked up at the sunset. They ate in silence before the check came.

"No I can pay for it." "Dude I have enough money, just let me." Dylan took the checkbook from Emma's hands and tried to put his card in. "You quit your job today." Emma pulled back the check and put her card in. "So?" They eventually agreed about 10 minutes later to just split the bill in cash and left shortly after paying.
