Spontaneous Love

Emergency room

         Sofia rushed to the emergency room in the back of her mom's truck. She had just injured her knee while messing around at her work. She got checked in right away, then went to sit in the waiting room for however long it took. Shortly after she sat down, this boy came walking in, with his dad. He glanced at her while walking in with a brown fuzzy blanket draped over his broad shoulders. Time suddenly seemed to slow down, a lot. She felt warm inside. He didn't have any expression on his face. The boy kept walking. He then walked up to the counter to check in, then proceeded to take a seat behind Sofia and her Mom. Sofia heard the boy's dad say his nam while checking him in. His name was Tate.

 After waiting for what felt like ages, Sofia's name got called to go with the nurse. The nurse checked with her to make sure that some information was correct. She also did the usual checking her blood pressure and stuff like that. After that was completed, she was wheeled down the hallway in her wheelchair. She waited with her mother for the doctor to come in. Again, they waited for what felt like hours for somebody to come in the room. It wasn't the doctor, but another nurse. She then brought Sofia to yet another room to take X-rays of her injured knee. they discovered what happened- Sofia had torn her MCL. It hurt like a B*tch when it first twisted and tore. She could hardly straighten out her leg without any pain. The nurse brought her back to the room where her mom was waiting. Then the doctor came in, and said that it would take a few weeks for it to fully heal. 

Sofia left the ER with crutches and a brace. The boy was not to be seen again that day. She weirdly missed him though... She didn't think about him much more after that day. The healing then began and she started to feel better throughout the next few weeks.
