Chapter 2: A new moment

After a while, the professor of the class S2 arrived, carrying several magical articles. He greeted all the students in the S2 class and immediately began teaching the complex theories of magic. Alfasa, who was a bit confused, raised his hand to ask something.

The professor, noticing him, allowed Alfasa to ask his question. Alfasa then stood up and asked about some parts of the complex magic theory while demonstrating with his hands. Once he finished, Alfasa thanked the professor and sat down.

Some of the other new students in the class, including Amy, were impressed by Alfasa's bravery in asking the first question in such a well-spoken manner. The professor, who witnessed this, smiled contentedly because there was someone who dared to ask a clear and insightful question about the part of the complex magic theory that he didn't understand.

The professor then answered Alfasa's question in more detail, making it easy to understand and fairly concise. Alfasa took diligent notes on all the professor's explanations, capturing everything from individual words to full sentences. A new student, who had been arrogant earlier, became irritated and jealous because he couldn't get the professor's attention first.

Several hours passed, and it was now lunchtime. Amy decided to leave the class and gather for tea with the other noblewomen, while Alfasa decided to head to the library, which he hadn't been able to enter before as he wasn't yet an official student of the academy.

Alfasa opened the library door and was amazed at the size and grandeur of the library, filled with countless books. He immediately felt a strong urge to read all the books inside. Without wasting any time, he decided to start reading and understanding all the books that discussed complex magic—be it theory, practice, types, and so on—first.

He then searched for all the books on complex magic to read and understand page by page, not caring if the books were very thick or thin, intending to read them all during the available time he had.

From 12 PM to 3 PM, Alfasa successfully read 84 books on complex magic—14 super thick books (over 600 pages), 20 medium books (around 400 pages), and 40 regular books (200 pages)—in just three hours, thanks to the dimensional attribute he was secretly using. All the students in the library, both new and old, were astonished and silent as they looked at the huge pile of books on Alfasa's reading table.

By the time the afternoon came, the break was over. Alfasa then returned to the S2 class along with the other students. Upon entering the class, he saw Amy chatting with her friends in the upper row. Alfasa, who was pleased to see Amy smiling, shared in her happiness. The new student, who had been arrogant and harbored resentment toward Alfasa, thought that Alfasa liked Amy.

Confident of this, he approached Amy and tried to introduce himself and engage in conversation, even following the topic of the tea-circle conversation Amy was having. Alfasa, noticing the new student coming closer and trying to befriend Amy, felt that something was off about the situation.

It was as if he sensed that the arrogant new student harbored some kind of grudge against him. Feeling suspicious, he began to observe and monitor the new student's behavior as he interacted, approached, and gave Amy gifts.

Alfasa also kept an eye on the new student when he talked about Amy with his friends. The arrogant new student had no idea that all his actions were being watched by Alfasa. Alfasa even warned Amy whenever she was in the dormitory.

Eight months had passed...

Alfasa had managed to become the best student in the class for 8 months straight, and Amy always ranked 2nd or 3rd in their class. Many of the senior students became friends with Alfasa, and some even asked for his help or answers to problems that they found difficult.
