"Professor Y/n!"
You turn around, facing one of your students.
Tam was having trouble with his Boggart again.
You sigh, as you walk toward him, taking your wand out from your robe.
"E-Expelliarmus!" he stutters, waving his wand wildly at the Boggart.
"Riddikulus!" You flick your wand determinedly, and the Boggart transforms.
Previously it was Professor Umbridge, Hogwarts's High Inquisitor, who took joy in frightening many of the students.
Even though it was you who cast the spell, it still worked. It would've done better though if Tam cast it, since it was his Boggart.
1134 years ago, you were born in the sixth realm of Vanaheim.
You're a powerful sorcerer/sorceress, and you're trained in Eldritch Magic, Asgardian Magic, and Celestial Magic.
When you aged 4, your Midgardian mother died of a stroke. Your Vanaheim father abandoned you, and you were taken in on Asgard, by your grandfather.
When you were 1014, you left Asgard in search of adventure, after many years of protecting the realm.
You used Eldritch Magic to drift to another reality.
You landed on Midgard, in another reality on the edges of the multiverse.
It was 990 A.D, and witches and wizards existed.
You fitted some of your magic into a wand, so people would think you were a witch as well.
You became friends with the founders of Hogwarts. You became a professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts, which is where you are right now.
After over a millennium of teaching here, you felt pretty confident in your work, and people like Professor Umbridge didn't scare you.
Everyone knew by now you were from another realm, in an alternate reality, and that you didn't need your wand for magic.
You were offered the post of headmaster/headmistress, but declined because you knew you were immortal, and you'd have to give up the role at some point.
You aged very little, by physical standards, appearing as a 19-year-old boy/girl.
However nevertheless, you held a position of power, and you were highly respected among not only the students, but by all the faculty, and those most powerful witches and wizards outside of Hogwarts.
Even Dolores feared you.
As you finished up teaching the class, and calming Tam down, you excused them for their next class.
First years were certainly very amusing.
A golden ring suddenly opened up in the ceiling, and a man dressed in a cloak dropped down.
Eldritch Magic.
Unfazed you gazed at the man, as he looked up at you. You were used to wanderers across the multi-verse.
"I'm Doctor Strange, I've heard a lot about you from your home realm Asgard. I'm from Earth, Midgard's what you call it."
"Listen, Earth's in danger right now, and so is the rest of our universe. Thanos wants to destroy everything, don't ask question's no time to explain."
You notice he's sweating, and panting. Must have come straight back from a fight.
"Thor, he's the prince of Asgard now, in our reality, and he told us about you from your realm's history. I didn't think I would find you, you could've been anywhere. Please help us, we don't stand a chance. I know none of this affects you, but we have no one else to ask for help."
You hesitate. It's been awhile since you've traveled through the multi-verse. You knew the Professor Dumbledore would be worried, but you grinned.
You've missed the adventure.
And you were curious about the state of Asgard, in this other universe.
Thanos didn't sound like a huge problem. It sounded like he only knew how to destroy one universe.
And you definitely wanted a taste of fighting, and war.
You sigh. "It's been a thousand years since I've fought. I sure as h1ll am coming with you."
And with that, you form a golden ring, and the pair of you drop down, to whatever battle was waiting for you.
