"...From this day forth, Balladeer and Kabukimono...will cease to exist"

Ever since that fateful day, where the 6th Fatui Harbinger who tried and failed to ascend to godhood erased himself from Irminsul, thinking it would give the people he once thought betrayed him a better life.

To the Balladeer's vain, Irminsul can only removed all traces of his existence from the world's memories and not change the events that happened 500 years ago.

After the Traveler and Lesser Lord Kusanali's help, he had his old memories returned and ended received an Anemo vision after reconciling with his past.

To pay his debt to the Dendro Archon, the puppet agreed to be her shadow operative and her right hand.

It has already been 2 years since those events happened. During those two years, he got tasked by Nahida to join the Interdarshan Championship by representing Vahumana to complete an investigation regarding the Diadem of Knowledge. Nahida ended up asking him to continue his studies at Vahumana as 'Hat Guy' to continue to help him reconcile with his dark past. He met many people from the Championship who were nuisances to interact with in his opinion.

Later on, he met someone called 'Sethos' or something, he didn't really care. The guy keeps following him around like a lost puppy and asking him if he was 'Hat Guy', it was really getting on his nerves. It seems like everyone knows the name 'Hat Guy' now...Not to mention no matter where he hides, that brat still manages to find him. He needs to find somewhere better to hide from that nuisance soon....

Back to the present, that said puppet is now walking through the Sumeru rainforests tasked with a new mission that Nahida assigned him. With only himself to keep him company as always, he searched for the spot where he is tasked to check up on.

"...It should be around here, the Leyline energy here feels more stronger more the other areas"

The Archon had received reports of Leyline sightings in the rainforest these past few days and asked Wanderer to help check out those places since she was busy with other agendas. She also wanted Wanderer to go out and take a stroll outside since he's been cooped up the his room writing his final thesis that she wanted. Wanderer didn't really needed a break anyway since he can never get tired but still took up the task to have an excuse to not write his thesis.

As Wanderer followed the traces of the energy and found himself in a small cave near a waterfall. He then went into the cave and slowly descended into a large space in the cave that was covered in powerful Leyline energy. The place seemed to be originally an old ruin that might date by to the era before the Calamity. It also had old ruin guards and ruin serpents that were scattered across the place. Looks like he needed to stay alert if they somehow get reawaken again. Not like it would be hard for him, just another problem he has to deal with.

"Looks like this is the place, I need to find a way to neutralise it or less it's going to be a pain to deal with in the future"

As the Wanderer went closer to the main source of the Leyline energy, which was the big square centre of the old ruin. And there he noticed that something was very wrong with the Leyline. It seemed corrupted in some way since it felt incredibly unstable. It's like the Leyline was trying to push itself through space and literal time itself by how much its form kept on changing. This was something that Wanderer had never seen happened to any Leyline before in his life.

Suddenly, the Leyline started to release an huge amount of energy that even Irminsul couldn't contain. Wanderer's eyes widened as the strange Leyline started glowing and shining in a very abnormal manner. He hastily attempted to fly away from the source but was pulled back by the Leyline as its energy was too powerful to withstand. In his defence, he doubted that the Archons could even handle and control whatever this power from the strange Leyline.

His body started to get pulled into the Leyline and started tingling in a very uncomfortable way. He felt his body was getting shifting like the Leyline itself. Almost like his body was slowly pulled apart into smaller particles. He can't say it's worse than what Dottore did to him, not even half of the pain. But the feeling was just so bizarre and was the last thing he thought would be his final moments.

The sensation just got worse and worse. Until he couldn't feel anything anymore.

The ruin he was once in was gone now.

Only an empty void with a loud silence.

He almost assumed he was dead.

Maybe his sins caught on to him after all.

But it seems like that wasn't the case after all.

I guess fate had other plans for me.

As he slowly regained his senses, he felt his body lying onto a hard and wet surface. Though the puppet doesn't have the need to breathe, he still noticed that the air in this place seemed very different, more....thick and.....polluted? It wasn't like the fresh air he feels in Sumeru, that's for sure. It was until he managed to open his eyes and realised he was in an entirely different place.

He pulled himself up from the concrete floor that he was lying on and saw the tall bland dark buildings that surround him while he sits from what it seems to be a small narrow alleyway between two buildings. They kinda look like the ones in Fontaine but more.... grim and dark. This doesn't look like any place that he knows of at all.

"Where in Teyvat am I?

Or am I even in Teyvat at all?"
