Continued (FAYE POV)

I was walking back home and the  house was just in my sight.
But then, loud sirens came into the scene and I spotted an ambulance.
What the-
I increased my speed until I was running and only stopped short when I saw some people carrying someone inside.
DAD!?
My heart dropped as I ran to him but it was too late.
The door closed.
I saw my mom inside for a second before the vehicle sped away.
What just happened
I was just standing there.
Too shocked to move or speak.
Tears welled up as reality sunk in.
My legs began shaking as I broke into huge sobs.
I just found myself running again, but this time, to a different  place.
Vivian.
I pulled out my phone as I somehow managed to dial her number.
One ring... Two ring... Three ring...
It ringed a couple times before the recorded voice began speaking
The person you are calling is not answering, please try again later.
I dialed again.
One ring... Two ring... Three ring...
Again, no answer.
I beginning to become even more annoyed now.
But just as I kept running, I spotted the park through my peripheral vision.
And something else.
I stopped short.
Dramatically, yet again.
It was the person I needed the most right now.
And another person near them.
Vivian, standing while leaning into... Jess? I felt the ground beneath me crumble. I watched as they continued for a while.
What!?
I was suddenly filled with rage and despair.
I marched up towards them and pushed jess away.
"What the fuck Vivian!? "
Surprisingly, they both stumbled.
"Omg Faye! What happened!? " Jess groaned as she tried to gather herself.
"You're asking ME?  you should be telling me!! "
While I was screaming at Jess, I forgot there was someone else.
Someone who needed this more than Jess.
"I cannot believe you're cheating on me vivian! "
"Cheating? Me!? What are you talking about Faye, calm down."
"No! I know what I saw! I have been calling you repeatedly and you're here making out with someone else!? "
"You're mistaken Faye, I wasn't making out! Please, believe me.
My phone was on silent!"
"That is not an excuse, just save it. "
I felt like everything had spiraled out of control suddenly.
My dad is in the hospital, I don't know what happened, and now I caught my partner making out in a park.
"Is this how much trust you have in me, Faye? " Vivian grabbed my hands trying to soothe me.
"Trust me, all of it is gone."
"Faye please! Just think for a moment."
I realized I didn't want to waste my time here anymore.
I wasn't going to manipulated any further.
I slapped Vivian hard and i ran from there, not once looking back.
I ran and ran until I couldn't anymore.
I stumbled upon the sidewalk as I  caught my breath, and pulled out my phone again.
I was too shaken, broken and reeling from the recent encounter.
I was still silently sobbing as the phone rang.
One ring... Two ring... Thre-
"Oh my god, Faye dear, I am so sorry I couldn't call you sooner"
Mom's voice made me sigh with relief.
"What happened mom? And where are you?!"
"Honey... Your dad.. He fainted.
I am so worried, faye. Please come to here quickly. "
"Alright, don't worry mom. I'm on my way."

Skip time
Hospital-

I saw my mom sitting outside of one of the rooms.
I paced up to her and sat.
"Is dad okay? "
She shook her as I wiped away her tears.
"Doctors say he has some...
Disease. "
"What? "
"I don't know, I couldn't focus on what they were saying. "
"It's ok. I will go talk to them. "
I consoled mom a bit then got up and talked to some of the nurses attending to my dad.

After talking to them, I learned he has a rare neurological disease which needed special treatment.
My heart broke at each word they said.
My mind ached with worry and my body felt stiff.
I didn't know what to do, sulk in my bed, or be strong.
Because I was torn apart between completely broken because of vivian and anxious because of dad.
I knew who needed me the most right now.
Mom.
She needs me right now.
I need her right now.
We need eachother right now.
I couldn't tell her about vivian, atleast not yet.
That was the least of my problems.
