IMPORTANT AUTHORS NOTE

Ok when I first started writing this, I was very focused on Amelia and Ezio. Since the end of Amelia and Ezio's involvement I realized that I FUDGED on some of Claire's history because I hadn't actually fleshed it out. I have some BIG plans for Claire moving forward now so i broke down her history better.

I will be going back to make these changes. For those of you who have read through it already (prior to Nov 8th 2024) and don't want to go back to reread everything. I will only be editing CLAIRE's chapters. Much less to reread if you want to.

Early Life and Family Tragedy

1985 (August 10): Claire is born.

1988: 

Claire's father dies when she is three, leaving her mother to raise her alone. This early loss fosters Claire's protective instincts and sense of responsibility.

1995-1996 (Ages 10-11): 

Claire spends six months at the Assassin Farm from November 1995 until April 1996. During this period, she has a brief encounter with a young Desmond, though both later forget it.

1996 (April): Claire's mother arrives at the Farm, remarried and pregnant with Callum.

1990 (October 21): 

Callum is born, giving Claire a younger sibling to care for and reinforcing her protective instincts.

2002: 

Claire's mother dies, a loss that impacts Claire profoundly. To shield Callum from the dangers of their Assassin heritage, Claire chooses to distance herself from him, leading to their estrangement.

Claire's Connection with Aiden, Paul(2002-2007)

2002: 

Aiden (one year older than Claire) and Paul (three years older) were close associates of Claire's mother and aware of her ties to the Assassins. Knowing Abstergo was closing in, they arrived just as her mother was killed. Seeing the immediate danger, Aiden and Paul rescue Claire and take her into their care. With her younger brother Callum away during the attack, he is left behind, forced to fend for himself, which adds to the emotional toll on Claire.

2002-2003: 

After recovering Claire's mother's body, Abstergo obtains Claire's DNA and identifies her as a target of interest due to her Assassin lineage. Under Warren Vidic's orders, an Abstergo agent with unique insights into the Brotherhood is assigned to locate and track her down. Given the agent's specialized background, they are deemed ideal for pursuing targets with strong Assassin roots. The agent begins their mission, using their intimate knowledge of Assassin methods to anticipate Claire's movements and track her down.

2003-2005: 

Over the next few years, Aiden and Paul act as protective older brothers to Claire, helping her stay hidden and keeping her off Abstergo's radar as much as possible. They teach her survival techniques and share knowledge about Abstergo and the Brotherhood, forming a close-knit team. Aiden and Paul become both mentors and family to Claire, providing a semblance of stability as Abstergo's pursuit continues. However, the Abstergo agent's efforts persist, using the company's resources to track her movements and gradually isolate her from the Brotherhood's support.

2004-2006: 

The agent relentlessly pursues Claire, tracking her movements and coordinating any leads Abstergo uncovers. Their mission is to wear her down and corner her, making her eventual capture inevitable. Despite Aiden and Paul's efforts, the agent gradually closes in.

Early 2007: 

Just before her capture, the Abstergo agent successfully isolates Claire by incapacitating Aiden and Paul, leaving her vulnerable. With her protectors unable to intervene, they finally track her down and capture her.

I am also adding in Claire's lineage that has been exposed so far. There is MUCH MORE to it but you'll learn that in time.

Claire's Ancestral Lineage Revealed So Far:

Claire [1985-?]

Mother (Mary Lynch) [1956-2002]

Father (James Morandi) [1954-1988]

Paternal Line of James:

Amelia Tessaro (1457-1525) - Claire's ancestor through her father, married to Ezio Auditore. Amelia's remarkable strength and endurance during the challenges of her life inspire Claire's own resilience and courage in the face of adversity.

Federico Auditore (1507-1588) - The firstborn of Amelia Tessaro and Ezio Auditore, renowned Assassins of the Italian Renaissance. Federico continued his parents' Assassin legacy, passing down their values and skills to future generations, eventually reaching Claire.

Flavia Auditore (another descendant) becomes part of Desmond's paternal line through the Kenway family, specifically connecting through Bernard Kenway and, later, Edward Kenway.

Family Relationship Breakdown

Desmond is descended from Flavia Auditore (Ezio and Amelia's lineage through the Kenways).

Claire is descended directly from Federico (Ezio and Amelia's lineage through the Italian branch).

Cousin Relationship: Given the separation over several generations and branches, Claire and Desmond are separated by 8 generations before they meet.

Hopefully all of this makes sense. Let me know in the comments if you need more clarification of things. I am working on the rewrites of Claire's chapters. Once they are done I will make another note to go back and reread those. THEY WILL BE DIFFERENT. The progression of Claire and Desmond's relationship and the things that happen are VERY different. I am only reusing some of the scenes that were originally in there.
