New friend

To the people that said they thought being Captain Mans daughter would be a breeze.. you were wrong. 

Lilia had it it difficult growing up. Her mother left at a very early age, and captain man being her dad bought its own complications... but what she could always count on was that he was there for her when she needed him the most. No matter the time of day. 

She became her dad; Captain Mans sidekick quite young, at only 8 years old. The town of Swellview called her Danger Girl. She didn't really know what she was doing, at first she just enjoyed spending time with her dad. It wasn't until she was about 12 years old that she fully understood what it was that they did, and why it was so important, but she wouldn't change it for the world. It had been a part of her whole childhood so why would she stop now? 

Lilia and Ray lived in the Man Cave, an underground bunker that was designed to be Captain Mans secret base. It was designed and built under an old shop called Junk N' Stuff by a man called Shwoz, who also happened to live there with them. 

Up until Lilia was 13 she had been home-schooled by Shwoz, learning every possible thing about technology there was to learn. He also taught her the other subjects that she needed to graduate, but their main focus was technology. That was until Ray decided it was time for her to go to public school, to make some friends her own age.. and not just friends that Shwoz built. 

"Do I have to go daddd?" She said as she pulled her backpack over her shoulders. Ray simply looked at her and said one word. "Yes."

Lilia rolled her eyes and said goodbye to her dad and Shwoz before heading into the elevator and going to Junk N' Stuff. The walk to school wasn't too bad, she kept her head down and focused on one thing.. getting through the day without anyone finding out who she is.

As she approached the building her she took a deep breath, muttering to herself "here goes nothing.." 

While walking in she realised that she had no idea where her classes were as she was yet to get her schedule, but at the same time, realising that she didn't know where the office was. She scanned the corridor to see if anyone looked friendly enough to help her. 

Her gaze landed on two teens stood by a locker, chatting about something. She walked over to them and cleared her throat. "Hey- sorry to interrupt, my names Lilia and todays my first day, I need to go to the office to get my schedule.. could one of you show me where it is please?"

One of them spoke up "Hey! Its nice to meet you, my name is Charlotte, and this is Henry" She pointed to the boy stood next to her and he gave a small wave. Lilia looked over to him and waved back.  "And of course we can show you" Charlotte finished, she closed her locker and motioned for Lilia to follow them. She gladly did as they led her through the corridors and towards the office. 

Lilia went inside to get her schedule while Charlotte and Henry waited outside. When she walked out she thanked them. "What classes have you got?" Henry started, "Maybe you have some with us". She passed her timetable over to Henry, she watched as his eyes scanned over the page. 

"Oh cool you have period one and four with both of us, period three with me and then period two by yourself" Henry explained. Lilia smiled and nodded along, thankful that she at least had a friendly face in the majority of her classes on the first day. 

"Come on! We should get going to first class" Charlotte said. Lila just followed the two other teens, having no idea where the classrooms were. 

The school day went pretty quick, Lilia enjoyed all of her classes, and she got to know Henry and Charlotte a bit more as well. They had asked her some questions about herself and she nearly slipped up. She'd never had to keep her identity a secret before. The final bell rang, signalling the end of the day. She packed her bag up and headed out, saying bye to Henry and Charlotte, promising to message them later as she had previously got their numbers earlier in the day.

As she entered Junk N' Stuff she said hi to Gooch before heading into the elevator and down into the man cave. The door pinged open and her eyes fist landed on Ray, her dad, sat on the circular couch, eating some frittle chips. "Hey dad" She greeted. Her voice caused Ray to look up at her and smile. "Hey kid.. how was your first day?" He questioned. Lilia explained everything that happened and how she had made two friends already, to which Ray expressed his proudness. 

A little while had passed, Lilia had told her dad everything, and spoken to Shwoz. They were now sat on the couch, chilling. When the elevator pinged, she looked over at it to see a blonde haired boy on the floor. She snickered and nudged her dad, letting him know someone was there. It wasn't until the boy had stood up that she realised who it was. 

"Henry?!"
