MATTHEO STOOD IN FRONT OF THE MIRROR IN HIS DORM ROOM, GLARING AT HIS REFLECTION.

His dark hair, which normally fell into place in a wild yet manageable way, was particularly uncooperative today. He tugged at the strands in frustration, trying to make them lie flat, but they stubbornly refused to behave.

"Why do you even care what you look like?" Danielle's amused voice cut through his thoughts. She was sprawled lazily on his bed, her own dark hair falling in neat waves over her shoulders as she flipped through an old issue of The Quibbler, clearly uninterested in his struggle.

Mattheo shot her an irritated look through the reflection of the mirror, "Because today is important, Dani. It's not just ... I don't know. It's different."

Danielle's brow lifted in curiosity, "Different? You've been acting weird for days, Matty, ever since you told me you were going on this date. I still can't believe you're going on a proper one."

"Yeah, well, don't make a big deal out of it." He turned away from the mirror and crossed his arms, leaning against his desk. "It's just lunch in Hogsmeade."

"Right," Danielle smirked. "Lunch in Hogsmeade with a girl. That is a big deal for you."

Mattheo sighed, rubbing his temple. Danielle was the only person who knew about his plans, and even though she had no idea who the girl was, she hadn't stopped teasing him since he mentioned it.

"Don't you have something better to do than harass me?"

Danielle snapped the magazine shut and stood, sauntering over to him with a knowing glint in her eyes. "Oh, I do have better things to do, but this is much more fun," she paused, studying him for a moment before her expression softened. "Seriously, Matty, who is she?"

Mattheo clenched his jaw, turning his back on his sister to avoid her gaze, "You'll know when you need to know."

Danielle sighed dramatically. "You're not fun, but fine, keep your secrets." She walked over to his wardrobe and began rummaging though his clothes. "At least let me help you pick something decent to wear, because let's be honest, you have no idea how to dress for a date."
