What the hell?

I sat in my bed, I was just scrolling through my phone when everything just went quiet. from outside the window.

It was confusing the shit out of me right now. Slowly, I drag myself from the comfortable embrace of my bed and open the curtains to inspect where the sound is coming from.

The sight shocks me. What... the hell? I live in an apartment in the middle of Tokyo. Why.... was it so empty?

My eyes roamed the streets through my window, darting around the roads from high up in my apartment window. There wasn't a single person to be seen. What is going on?

That's when I looked down at my phone and realized that I had no service at all. No bars, No wifi, nothing. It just confuses me further and I feel my brain start to ache as It tries to decipher what's wrong.

And just to make sure its not just my shitty phone, I walk all around my apartment, trying to turn lights on and the stove on, but none of it is any us. It either doesn't work or just seems to be dead or busted. I need to figure out what the hell is going on and where the fuck everybody went.

After grabbing my phone again from my room just in case, I shuffle out of my room going near my front door, sliding my sneakers on and a thowing on a light sweater. I should go and see if I can find anybody. I open my door and lock it just in case. Even though I don't see anybody, doesn't mean they aren't there.

I double-check to make sure it's locked before I start going towards the elevator. As I approach it I realize that the lights are out. I push the buttons rapidly in attempts to turn it on or fix it. But, uh.... obviously it's not quite effective.

I sigh in frustration before walking towards the stairs. I really don't want to take them.
I take the elastic off my wrist and tie my hair up as best as I can, sighing as I start my journey down the stairs.

I scurry down them, every set or two having to stop to catch my breath a bit.
This is a lot harder than I thought.

After a good few minutes of stopping and going down those dreadful stairs, I'm at the bottom and I sigh, groaning slightly as I lean against the nearest wall. After letting myself rest, I find my way to the front of the building where the main entrance is.

I push open the front doors and squint at the sun shining in my eyes as I step out of the apartment building. I bring my hand up to shield my eyes, looking around my city at eye level now.

"What the fuckkkk...?" I mumble. There really isn't a single person in sight everybody is gone, and I have less than zero idea where they went off to. Was this some kind of.. prank?
Because it wasn't funny.

I check my phone again only to be disappointed with still no bars or wifi. I start to move my feet, deciding to search further. I make my way around the city, not even finding people in the busiest of streets. Crossroads, highways, stores. All empty. In a way, it's... unsettling.

I feel a chill run down my spine. I can tell I'm not alone. So why does it feel like I am? I finally make a decision and decide it would be best to just go back home. Maybe this was a dream and when I went back to my room and went into bed, I would wake up and everybody would be here.

I make my way into the big crossroad infront of my house before I'm jumpscared by a slight ring. One of the big screens turns on and I look up at it. It's just plain white?

I was just about to ignore it, when it changes. Words appear on the screen. With an arrow.
