The inside of the carriage was straight out of a fairytale dream, one much similar to what I'd dreamed of as a kid.

Everything was white. A few fake flowers such as light pink roses and blue hydrangeas decorated the walls of the moving ball of white metals. Unlike a car, the windows were open and inviting to all outside air. There were light curtains present to allow some privacy, but the wind blew the small pieces of cotton gently. The breeze outside wasn't much. Spring was approaching and so the sun shone down on us with a petite smile.

Iris had handed me a glass of champagne the moment I entered the carriage.

She was wearing a pastel green dress with golden jewelry. Her manicured hands were wrapped around the glass that held the bubbling liquid that we'd been drinking, the few rings on her fingers made it all the more aesthetically pleasing to admire. Her hair was pulled back into a ponytail, not too tight, but not too loose. I few stands fell from it but not in a messy way. Only perfection. The couple strands of hair framed her soft features with grace; her pouty lips were glossed over on top of a pink lip liner, her doe-like eyes crinkled as she smiled at me, and her dimples were deeper than ever.

"I love you, amore." I muttered in absolute admiration.

Iris giggled, bringing her hand to rest on my cheek with a certain warmness following right after, "I love you, cara."

"That's my thing." I pouted, earning another giggle from my lover.

She ignored my mini tantrum and turned away from me, turning back around with an assortment of chocolates. Not just any chocolates though. They were Ferrero Rocher, wrapped delicately with a cream ribbon. The chocolate sat on top of a bouquet of many flowers; pink lilies, white roses, baby's breath, etc.

It was beautiful.

"Baby." I whimpered, softly taking the bouquet out of her hands as she offered them to me.

"Happy Birthday." she whispered with a grin.

My eyes fluttered close as she delivered a kiss to my cheek. I sat the bouquet in my lap and grabbed her with a newfound sense of desire, connecting our lips into a delicate, yet passionate kiss.

She moaned into my mouth when I pressed our bodies closer. I wanted nothing more than to show my appreciation for her gesture in that moment. Unfortunately, the relaxing ride had come to a stop. The horses huffed and that brought us to laughs.

We pulled away with hesitance, not wanting to let go of the moment just yet.

"I adore you. My heart beats for your gentle love." I muttered, remaining to keep eye contact with her swirling coffee eyes.

She smiled, "I adore you, my poetic and smart woman."

I rolled my eyes with a chuckle, grabbing her hand to lead us out of the carriage.

"Shall we?"

"We shall." Iris grinned.

We exited the carriage with nothing but smiles on our faces. We walked around to the front and met with the magical horses and coachman before we departed. As I ran my hands through the mane of the animals, I couldn't help but think of how much Ariella would enjoy this. At the thought of my daughter I turned towards my lover.
