Author's Note:
Rated 16.
I'm not a seasoned writer, just a teenager who stays up late at night to write all the ideas that attack her mind at day.

This is a new story I came up with and it's not gonna be a short one.

Righttt, it's actually the first story I've made up my mind to finish.

Thanks for opening this book and I hope the first chapter keeps you intrigued.

Episode 1***

Don't look back,
Keep running.
Up your speed!
Go!
Go!
Goooo!

I run straight into the room and bent to place my palm on my knee, breathing heavily, the absence of Mr.Maldives tells me I'm still early.

Great heavens, I made it!

I'm not actually late, I could've almost yelled in excitement if my self awareness didn't kick in, I realize I'm in front of the whole class, seriously, I should've been able to hold my breath till I got to my seat, the custard I had this morning just had to fu-...

No swear words.

The custard I had this morning made me feel so heavy, whoever said having custard for breakfast makes you feel smart?
Mtcheew, I sleep most of the morning.
Save for the run I had just now, that sorta made me feel light and healthy.

I stood to my feet only to be bamboozled by another force that almost got me crashing to the tiled floor, an all too familiar fresh fragrance filled my nostrils as slender arms coiled around my neck.

Rumaysah.

'Oh my, you're early today!' she squeaks earning a playful eye roll from me as I gently push her away.

"Attended usurah yesterday and heard a lot about being late, so, I don change" I grinned. She snorts and then chuckles as her brown eyes narrow into mesmerizing slits, they shimmer and are brimmed with gae and joy.

"Ehn, we go see na" she smirks and takes my hand and walks us to our seat, I let her lead us through and all I think about is to paste my butt on that wooden chair and relax for the warranted jog this morning.

But the smile on my lips wilted ever so slowly as we're intercepted by Quinn, A guy from the science department, people- when I say people, I mean girls- flock over him because of his charismatic build and his features.

And I think he's one of those guys who go after girls who ignore them, and that's exactly what he's doing with Ruru. (Rumaysah) he flashes a toothed grin and slips his hands in his pants' pocket, I could perceive the exotic fragrance of his cologne but that's that on that, I pull Rumaysah behind me and fold my arms before me, raising a brow at him.

"Anything you need? Head boy?" I asked.
His smile falters for a split second and he also arched a disdainful brow at me "and you are?" He asks, his eyes shooting askance at me.

"I could ask the same" I countered,
He scoffed and pulls his hands out of his pocket and slips it back in.
"I would have a word with Rumaysah" he said and turns to look at her, I see his eyes reflecting her lips and I don't miss the leer that decorates his lips.

Hmph! It's the audacity for me.

I feel Rumaysah's hand grip my shirt from behind, I Don't miss the tremble of her fingers along my back.

Oh, two can play this game.

"And she wouldn't have a word with you" I state, his eyes narrow into eerie slits and I don't miss the menacing aura emanating from him, his expression turns sinister as he stares at me, thinking he could intimidate me or something.

I raise a brow and my lips curl into a knowing smirk, 'You won't have your perfect head boy character soiled by a simple person you DON'T EVEN KNOW about, right?" I asked and take a step closer, he subconsciously takes a step back and I smirk.

"Walk right into her sometime else and you would wonder just how everything ended for you so quickly" I added and walked right past him, my hand holding Rumaysah's wrist firmly.

What an assho-....

No swear words.

What a disturbance.

I know, as a Muslim, I'm not supposed to actually threaten him....
But I did and it was necessary, Somepeople just need to taste a little violence to learn not to mess with others anymore.

We sit quietly and I ran my hand along her back as she rests her head on her desk, "you're fine" I assured and joined in her action.

"T- today, he..." Her voice trembled and I patted her back, reassuring her I'm here,

For her.

"What did he do today?" I asked, she takes a huge gulp on nothing and inhales deeply.

"He winked at me, and t- then..." She pauses.

"Then?" I asked.

"He stopped me at the gate and told me to spread my hands... Said he wanted to check my nails, and then he said that..." She choked,

She's super sensitive.

"What'd he say Ru?" I asked.

"He said I've got excuisite fingers, the whole thing was so disgusting" she spat, I felt the disgust in her voice, I almost tasted it.

"You're fine, Ru.
Do you hear me? We are gonna report that guy to the school and you are gonna be fine, you are strong and you're not going to let someone else get you all sick again? You're my strong girl, remember?" I ask.

She nods and I smile.

"And you can overcome whatever happens to you, be it Quinn McAllen or any other person" I said, she nodded and breathed a sigh of relief.

"I'm so glad I got you to look out for my back" she said, I smirk.

"Huh, what can you ever do without me?" I say, feeling smug and all.

She snorts with laughter and elbows me playfully,

"Don't be delusional, you're not that important" she rolls her eyes playfully. I smirk.

"It's funny how you talk, but all I hear is quack quack!!!" I say and she bursts out laughing.

I join in the laughter with joy, she's happy, I'm happy, and that's all that matters here.
