After Sprout got dressed Cosmo looked him up and down. Sprout was wearing a light pink short sleeved shirt with little green flowers along the sleeve, also having some matching baggy pants. As for Cosmo he was wearing some light green and pink stockings with a white hoodie.
🥮:Wow you look amazing. I feel underdressed just looking at you!
Cosmo said playfully
🍓: No way! You look amazing it's just one thing..
Sprout leaned into Cosmo gripping cosmos waist with one hand and removing some of the white fur from the bed from his tail with the other. Cosmo flinched at this sudden affection. He didn't expect Sprout to grab his waist like that.
🍓:There we go! Hehe sorry you had a piece of fur on your tail.
🥮:Hehe thanks, I would probably go around looking a little stupid with that on there.
Sprout grabbed Cosmo's hand and lead him out of the room walking towards dandy's shop.
(Dandy's POV)
Ugh where the hell are they? I know Vees slow technology was kinda bad but not this bad! They should've been here by now! It was 10:45Am they should've been here at 10!
I went back to the counter of my shop to see the berry and Swiss roll standing on the other side.
🍓:You called?
Sprout said bitterly.
🌼:Aah! Finally you two slow pokes have arrived. Now that you're finally here I can tell you the plan. So, my Dear toon handler wants to throw an anniversary party for Garden View. You know 5 years of this place is very important to us.
🥮:I love parties! How can we help?
🌼:I'm glad to hear that Cos!
Sprout glared at dandy and furrowed his eyebrows. Cos was a nickname only sprout could call Cosmo. It pissed him off when he heard dandy call his best friend it.
🌼: I need you guys on baking duty. I would say about 100 cupcakes, 60 éclairs, and a lot of fruit punch. While for the Toons party, 50 cupcakes, 40 éclairs, and of course fruit punch also. I know this sounds hard so I'll let you guys decide for a little treat if y'all wanna add strawberry syrup(alcohol) or champagne!
🍓:Hmm about both. I know Teagan and Rodger would enjoy some champagne while Finn and poppy would like strawberry syrup.
🌼:Mm..I was kinda asking for Cosmo's opinion but sure whatever I guess.
(3rd person)
Dandy sent them off to bake for the parties. Cosmo and sprout walked to the diner opening the doors and heading to the kitchen.
🥮: how are we suppose to make 150 cupcakes, 100 éclairs, and 8 gallons of fruit punch?? And to top it off 2gallons of Strawberry syrup!
Cosmo had never seen sprout drink so this was weird to him that sprout suggested that they do both instead of just champagne.
🍓:Oh Cos, you worry to much, with enough of determination and courage we can get anything done t̶o̶g̶e̶t̶h̶e̶r̶!
🥮:If you say so!

(Time skip)

As time passed so far they had about 80 cupcakes done and 49 éclairs ready. The two had no idea where they would get the drinks so they figured they would go to the store for it.

(Another time skip cuz I'm lazy)

After they had made all the food all that was left was to head to the store and grab the drinks. While they headed to the store Cosmo couldn't help but ask the same question that was in his head for a while.
🥮:Uh sprout..
Cosmo tugged on sprouts sleeve
🍓:Yeah Cos? Everything alright??
🥮:Y-Yes! But uhm, why didn't you just choose the champagne? You don't drink do you?
Sprouts face became a faint blush at Cosmos worried face
🍓:Mm..I mean I want everyone at the party to have fun of course!
The shitty lie somehow passed over Cosmo's head
🥮:Mm alrighty then.
As they entered the store they got the drinks
And paid. As Cosmo walked beside Sprout he felt his hand graze sprouts, an urgent blush faded into cosmos face.
🍓:You okay?
🥮:Y-yea just uhm cold I suppose.
Sprouts face widened at Cosmo as he took off his scarf and wrapped around Cosmo.
🥮:Y-your gift? You didn't have to-
Sprout lifted up Cosmo off the ground carrying him bridal style
🍓:It's fine. I don't mind as long as you're warm.
Cosmo's face was now a rosy red blushing at Sprout. His chest was warm he could feel sprouts heartbeat. He held the grocery bags to his face to cover some of the blush from sprout. They headed back to the diner gathering 2 large glass bowls.
🥮:You'll pour the champagne and strawberry syrup and I'll do the punch.
🍓:Sounds like a deal!
Cosmo poured the fruit punch into the glass placing a big spoon into it so the guest can scoop the punch into their cups. Sprout on the other hand was struggling a bit to pour his hands were a bit shaky, weird. He just shrugged it off. soon enough he managed to pour all of it in also placing a spoon into his large bowl of strawberry syrup.
🍓:Not too shabby ye? I think we got everything down. Now we just gotta tell dandy!
Cosmo nodded while smiling. They started to walk to the flowers store.
🌼:Aah! My favorite bakers, you two done with those treats yet?
The two nod at dandy
🌼:Splended! Before midnight sets I need you guys to set up the food in the diner for all the guest to see and in the party room for the toons.
🥮: Alright!
🍓:Aii..
The two toons walked to the diner opening the doors and going to the cashier counter. Cosmo nicely placed the food while sprout placed the punch. The two stepped back making sure everything looked neat for the customers.
After they concluded that it looked great and appealing to the eye they walked to the party room.
🍓:It should be in the spare room. The one with blue walls.
Cosmo nodded and followed behind sprout following him towards where the party was gonna be held. Once they got there they saw glisten and Tisha setting up decorations
🪞: Mm my favorite couple, here to help?
The two blushed instantly and looked away
🥮:W-We aren't a couple glisten!
🍓:What he said, and we are here to set up food not chat.
Glisten rolled his eyes and continued putting up string lights all around the walls.
🍓:I'll pull the fruit punch and champagne on the right, and you can put the treats on the left.
🥮: you think they'll order pizza? I don't know if all these sweets is good for one toon alone.
🍓:I'm sure they will.
After setting up Cosmo stepped back to admire his side. He wagged his tail appreciating his pretty display. As he admired he felt a hand on his shoulder.
🥮: Tisha! You startled me.
🧹: Apologies, I just wanted to compliment you on your display. Splendid job Swiss.
Swiss was another nickname people called Cosmo(get it because he's a Swiss roll) He liked the nicknames the toons gave him. It made him feel like he fit in.
🍓:Y'know his is great and all but mine is totally better!
Sprout playfully shoved Cosmo's shoulder.
🥮:Mhm sureee
Cosmo looked at Sprout with a playful look.
🍓:I mean just look at how p̲e̲r̲f̲e̲c̲t̲ mine is.
🥮: I bet toodles could do better.
Cosmo said jokingly smirking at sprout.
🍓: Pshh..Yeah right, you wish!
Glisten was getting a little tired of the two F̶l̶i̶r̶t̶i̶n̶g̶ talking.
🪞:See you lovebirds at the party.
Sprout and Cosmo froze at the mirrors words watching him exit the door.
🍓:Ugh, stupid mirror.. anyway I think we're good wanna hang out in the mean time before later on the party?
🥮:Sure!

The two walked off to the kitchen beginning to bake a small batch of cookies before it was time for the diners party to start.
