Bang Bang Bang"Jodie, wake up!" a muffled voice yells.
I stir in my bed.
Bang bang bang
"Jodie?"
I snuggle deeper into my pillow.
BANG BANG BANG
I jump up in my bed. "Wha- what, I'm awake I'm awake," I stutter. My eyes shoot open and I rub them with my hands. I wipe the drool off the side of my mouth and run a hand through my tangled hair. I look at the clock.
6:20 A.M.
I groan and plop back on the bed.
Tap tap tap.
"Wake up dear sister, for school is now upon us, and so is a brand new day!" The muffled voice says through my door.
I could feel my eyes roll to the back of my head. "Sure," I mutter. "What ever you say..." I turn on to my stomach and snuggle back into my pillow.
"Jodie?"
I have time, I might as well try to get a little more sleep before school starts...
"JODIE!"
Or not.
I spring up. "What?!?" I frantically yell, sleep laced through my words.
"I said, for the millionth time, get up!"
I sigh, closing my eyes.
Why did summer have to end?
My mind wanders back to just last week. Going into high school as seniors, this was our last summer before we were in the real world, so my friends and I had decided to travel to Australia for a month. We got to swim with stingrays, see exotic animals, get a poisonous spider bite, the usual stuff (that trip to the hospital wasn't fun). That was the best summer of my life. To bad it all had end so soon.
My thoughts were interrupted.
"I'm serious! I am tired of jumping through hoops to wake you up. Don't you care that your only brother is using his own precious time trying to wake you up? No, no you don't."
I groan.
Not this again.
"Go away Kyle," I slur through my slightly drool covered pillow.
"In case you forgot, you are my ride to school because dad took away my keys, and it is crucial that I am not late today," Kyle said.

Kyle Ray Burke. Born June 6, 1999 at 11:58 PM. One of the most popular kids at our school. President of the theatre department. Love him and all, but honestly, he's a complete and total dork. Now don't get me wrong, it's fun to have a brother like him (most of the time), and we're best friends (although I have no clue how he's so popular and I'm NOT so popular), but it does has its ups and downs. He is exactly one year, one minute older than me, and he's going into senior year at Grim High.
