THE REAPER

Two minutes

Me and Yinsen replace Toney's chest thingy.

"pretty cheque" I shrug

"you think?" Tony looks down at it and then nods "does look pretty good" I smile at him and we high five.

Then Tony and Yinsen start to play this game that Yinsen likes (uno's better) and I just watch as I have nothing better to do.

"got a family?" Tony asks Yinsen

"yes, and I will see them when I leave here" Yinsen replies.

I've never heard much about his family, its not something we talk about really.

"what about you?" Tony looks at me.

I shake my head "not anymore" He gives me a little smile (I saw a bit of sympathy but he would never admit it) "and you, Stark?"

"no" 

"no? so you're a man who has everything... and nothing" Yinsen says

"that's very philosophical" I look quite impressed by his words.

We get back to working shortly after and we were making quick progress. We are literally THE dream team. Tony puts on these funny goggles and I laugh. "you look like a bug"

Just then, the shutter on the door opens and someone shouts something before opening the door. We all put our hands up and over our heads. Then, the main boss guy walks in, he's bald. I don't know why that's necessary information, I just find it funny when his head shines in the light.

"relax" He spoke English and we all hesitantly took our arms down.

Then he starts rambling on about weapons, how they used to be and how they are now. After, he says that he basically wants to have the most powerful weapons to be in control. Pretty basic villain origin story, no tragic backstory or anything.

He and Yinsen had a conversation in another language so neither me or Tony could tell what he was saying. Now, he has Yinsen being grabbed by one of the guards and I shout "what are you doing!?" 

He turns "her too" this time I knew what he was saying.

I shook my head and started saying "no" repeatedly but two guards grabbed me and put a hand over my mouth.

Boss guy faces me and Yinsen with a burning rock in our grabbers and my eyes widen.

"what does he want?" Tony asks, still clueless.

I keep trying to lick the guards hand but nothing works. The man grabs Yinsen's head and places it on the table, bringing the burning rock closer to his mouth, I realised what he was doing and started struggling again but to no avail.

"what do you want? A delivery date?" Tony walks forwards but all of the guards shout at him so he halts and puts his hands back up "I need him. Both of them. Good assistants"

Boss guy drops the stone, me and Yinsen let out a collective sigh of relief.

"you have till tomorrow to assemble my missile"

"but that's like one day away! Give us more time" I beg

His face blanks over and I smile in accomplishment before he says "you have one day and two minutes"

"seriously" I look up towards the roof as if to the Gods

"do you want to die?" He threatens me.

"no sir" I salute him.

He looks at me annoyed and leaves with the rest of his guards.

As soon as he is gone, Tony looks at me "what the hell was that?!"

"oh, right. You don't know. umm, so I have sorta like powers but they're really shitty. And before you ask, I have no Idea how I have them"

He looks at me blankly before chuckling "hey, you extended our deadline by two minutes"

I roll my eyes "shut up"

"hate to interrupt but we only have one day" Yinsen says.

"and two minutes" Tony tries to suppress a laugh again.

"I swear to god, Stark" I point a finger at him, annoyed.
