Eunwoo took a deep breath, gathering herself as she made her way out of the juniors' common room. Just as she was about to push open the door, a hard shove from behind sent her stumbling forward.
She barely caught her balance, but not before a bottle of water she was holding splashed all over her white shirt, soaking the fabric and making it cling to her skin, nearly transparent.
"Seriously?" she muttered under her breath, whipping around to see Hyunjin smirking at her.
"Watch where you're going," he sneered, his gaze sharp and mocking.
"That bitch," she hissed, brushing her wet shirt away from her skin as best she could.
Before she could say anything more, a soft voice beside her caught her attention. "Here—take these." She looked over to see a boy with a kind expression holding out a wad of tissues.
He reached forward, dabbing gently at the soaked fabric clinging to her chest, then suddenly pulled back, blushing as he realized what he was doing. He thrust the tissues into her hands instead, glancing away awkwardly.
"Sorry about him... Hyunjin can be a real ass," he mumbled, clearly embarrassed.
Eunwoo took the tissues, dabbing at her shirt as best as she could. "It's not your fault, Seungmin. But thanks."
Seungmin's expression softened, a small smile tugging at the corner of his lips. "I didn't think you'd remember me."
Eunwoo gave a slight grin. "Was kinda confused between you and Jisung"
He chuckled, looking genuinely pleased. "Well, I'll let you handle things here. But if you need any help... I'll be around. See you, Eunwoo."
As Seungmin walked away, Yechan approached, taking in her drenched shirt with a smirk. "Well, if you were going for the wet look, it's working. Didn't know you were bringing back the see-through trend."
Eunwoo huffed, pulling the tissue away from her shirt and rolling her eyes. "Hyunjin pushed me. I wasn't exactly aiming for this fashion statement."
Yechan chuckled, slipping off his hoodie and handing it to her. "Here. I'd rather not have to keep an eye on every guy here for looking at my sister. Put it on before you start attracting any more attention."
Eunwoo gratefully pulled on the hoodie Yechan offered, the warm fabric a welcome shield against the cold, clinging mess of her soaked shirt. "Thanks," she muttered, pulling the sleeves down as far as they would go.
Yechan leaned back against the wall, giving her a sympathetic look. "So... I'm guessing you didn't have the best day?"
"Not at all," she sighed, rubbing her temples. "Between running into Mr. Kim, almost getting thrown out of class, and Hyunjin practically dunking me in water... yeah, today ranks pretty low."
Yechan chuckled, shaking his head. "Figures. First days back are never smooth. Especially when people like Hyunjin are waiting to start things up again."
Eunwoo huffed, leaning against the wall beside him. "Honestly, I thought I could come back and at least avoid him, but it's like he has this radar tuned to make my life hell."
"Some people just love holding grudges," Yechan replied, a slight edge to his voice. "But hey, you're not alone here. Remember that."
Eunwoo smiled faintly, feeling a flicker of relief. "It's good to know someone has my back," she admitted, nudging him with her elbow.
"Anytime," Yechan said with a grin. "Besides, we can always scheme about how to give him a taste of his own medicine."
Eunwoo raised an eyebrow, laughing. "That's tempting," she mused. "But let's save that for when I've survived more than just one day."
