Idea of the scenario :

Shidou was extremely crazy and always hyperactive, he's the type to make fun of everyone, always smiling, laughing and annoying people. And he found his complete opposite, [Y/n{ who's he tried to charm but always ended up embarrassing himself, making Deena laugh.

The oneshot :

Shidou had always been the type to steal the spotlight, both on the field and off.

His boundless energy was a constant source of entertainment (or irritation, depending on who you asked), and he was notorious among his teammates for his pranks, wild laughter and knack for making a spectacle out of even the smallest situations.

Naturally, no one thought he'd ever be interested in a serious relationship– least of all with someone like [Y/n].

[Y/n] was Shidou's opposite in every way. She was a serious university student, a little shy and infinitely more thoughtful than Shidou.

Her favorite moments were those spent studying quietly in the library or reading a novel on her own in the park while Shidou would have preferred doing handstands or juggling football balls in front of a crowd.

But as fate would have it, Shidou fell hard for her calm and collected demeanor. It drove him absolutely crazy that she could sit through his endless stories and antics with barely a chuckle, yet still look at him like he was the only person in the room.

Determined to make her laugh, he became a man on a mission.

One day, he decided to charm her by showing up outside her lecture with a grand romantic gesture, like he'd seen in movies.

So after a bit of scrambling, he found an outrageously large bouquet of roses. Of course, being Shidou, he didn't really 'buy' the flowers– he'd swiped them from a team event that had ended in a flurry of reporters and forgotten flower arrangements.

He figured, hey, roses are roses ?

He perched himself outside the lecture hall, trying to look suave, despite having a bouquet that was nearly as tall as he was.

As soon as [Y/n] stepped out, he tried to step forward smoothly to catch her attention but he ended up tripping on his own shoelace and face-planting, the flowers covering his head like an awkward floral explosion.

[Y/n] stared at him for a long moment, a mix of shock and confusion on her face before a small giggle escaped.

Shidou, struggling to get the flowers off his head, heard it and froze. He'd done it– he'd made her laugh !

Ignoring his scraped knee and bruised ego, he jumped up with his usual grin.

"Glad you liked the show !" He winked, still picking petals out of his hair.

"I was thinking, y'know, something romantic, right ? Surprise you with flowers, sweep you off your feet."

She smirked. "More like sweep yourself off your feet."

They ended up going to lunch together that day, Shidou rambling on about his recent match while [Y/n] tried to keep a straight face, only half-listening as he described the 'epic goal' he'd scored... despite the fact that he'd missed the shot by a mile and accidentally kicked a water bottle into the coach's face instead.

"You're seriously going to tell people that story ?" She teased, raising an eyebrow.

"Why not ? It's a great story ! Besides, Coach laughed... eventually", he said with a grin.

It became a routine for Shidou to pop up unannounced and attempt some grand, over-the-top way of impressing [Y/n], only to end up embarrassing himself.

Once, he brought her a homemade lunch, proclaiming it was 'the finest cuisine' (a peanut butter and banana sandwich he'd thrown together in a hurry), only to realize he put a crunchy peanut butter– and [Y/n] had braces.

(You don't have braces ? Not my problem, I do so [Y/n] will too !)

She tried to keep a straight face, but when he got peanut butter on his nose and started complaining about how "stupid braces ruined a perfect sandwich", she couldn't stop laughing.

Another time, he invited her to one of his football practices, hoping to impress her with his skills.

He made a grand entrance, attempting to pull off a flashy trick but his foot slipped and he ended up sliding into the goalpost.

He laughed it off but [Y/n] could barely hide her amusement, covering her mouth as she tried not to laugh too loud while the rest of the team laughed openly at Shidou's expense.

Yet, despite his endless slip-ups, Shidou managed to bring out something new in [Y/n].

She found herself laughing more and letting her guard down in ways she hadn't before. And while Shidou's loud, messy world was the last thing she would have chosen for herself, she found it oddly... charming.

One evening, while they were walking home from the library (Shidou had tried to 'help' her study by drawing football plays over her chemistry notes), he looked over at her and sighed dramatically.

"You know, [Y/n], I think you're the calm to my storm", he said, putting on his best 'serious' face.

She rolled her eyes, trying not to smile. "Oh really ?"

"Yeah", he said, draping an arm over her shoulder. "I mean, who else would put up with all of this ?" He motioned to himself with a smirk.

She couldn't deny that he had a point. She shook her head, a small smile playing at her lips. "Guess you're lucky I like storms then."

And for once, Shidou didn't have a comeback. Instead, he just grinned, savoring the fact that he'd managed to worm his way into her life– and maybe, just maybe, into her heart.
