Jungkook's life have been turned around since he met Taehyung he have been more calm and liberated .
One thing that yoongi have always despised of , was to see his son . Calm .
He always wanted him to be restless to have an instinctive reaction and sense of predator . He wanted the first blow to be Jungkook's no matter the situation. Yet, the man loved him like his breath, he will most certainly love his choice.
Jungkook had been looking forward to this lunch for days. It was the first time he was introducing his family to Taehyung, and he wanted everything to be perfect. His parents, though loving, could be a lot. His younger sister, Lisa, was a bundle of energy who had no filter. But he had prepped them well or so he thought.
They were already running ten minutes late. Jungkook's dad had insisted on taking a "shortcut" that added an extra five miles. His mom kept reminding him to check his hair in the mirror as if he was a teenager going to prom. And Lisa, sitting in the backseat, had brought along her dog, Max, without telling anyone.
"Why is Max even here?" Jungkook groaned as the little terrier yapped excitedly at passing cars.
"Lily said we couldn't leave him alone," Jimin defended her.
Jungkook's jaw clenched. Okay, it's fine. Just lunch. Taehyung loves dogs.
But things took a turn the moment they arrived.
As Jungkook pulled into the restaurant's small parking lot, a truck swerved too close to their car, making him brake suddenly. Max, unrestrained, flew forward and landed right in Jungkook's lap, barking like a maniac.
Lisa screamed, their dad cursed under his breath, and their mom grabbed Jungkook's shoulder like they'd narrowly avoided a crash.
"Everyone, calm down!" He muttered, heart pounding as he maneuvered into a tight spot. They stumbled out of the car, but the chaos wasn't over.
Lisa's bag, overloaded with snacks, spilled onto the pavement, and Max immediately took off after a stray cat near the entrance. She bolted after him, shouting, "Max, stop! Come back!"
Jungkook's dad, in his rush to help, bumped into a waiter carrying a tray of drinks, sending glasses crashing to the ground. His mom, mortified, was already apologizing profusely.
Jungkook, meanwhile, stood frozen in the middle of it all, his mind spinning. This is a disaster.
And then he saw him - Taehyung, standing by the door, watching everything unfold. But instead of looking horrified, he was, laughing. His eyes sparkled with amusement as he gave him a little wave.
Jungkook let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding. As chaotic as this was, maybe-just maybe-it wasn't the end of the world.
"Nice entrance," Taehyung teased when he finally reached them, the grin on his face softening the tension in Jungkook's chest.
"Yeah, we like to make an impression," he murmured, running a hand through his hair.
"Don't worry," he whispered, leaning in. "I think I'm going to love them."
Jungkook couldn't help but smile. Maybe this wasn't such a disaster after all.
"Taehyung Kim, I would rather die than be left alone. I don't want you to love me, I don't want you to reciprocate my feelings.
I am just so eager to love you, I want to be around when you need help, I want to be the one you can rely on." Jungkook's eyes were filled with admiration, face beaming with happiness.
"I just want you to let me love you . I will try my best to not disappoint you, it's a promise. I promise to love and nurture you forever, will you be a part of this chaotic family? , hmm." He whispered in Taehyung's ear, kissing the mole below it.
"I-I would lov-e to, Yes!" Taehyung's words rang in his ear like jingles, he smiled leaning in to seal the promise with a lovely kiss.
The rings became more evident as he could feel his hear in his throat, eyes staring soulfully at the beautiful face amidst the sudden darkness surrounding them.
The room was quiet, the soft rhythm of his breathing blending with the ticking of the clock on the wall as he dived into the wonderland of his dreams. Just as sleep pulled him even deeper, a sudden, sharp bark shattered the stillness.
He stirred, groggy and disoriented, as another bark echoed through the quiet night, louder this time. The dog was at the window, ears perked and body tense, growling softly between barks as if warning of something unseen. "Seriously?" he mumbled waking up to a loud sound, his voice thick with sleep, but the dog wasn't listening. Whatever was out there had its full attention. Another bark pierced the room, and this time, he was wide awake, his heart pounding just a little faster.
"Aghhhh, when will I ever have some peace and quiet and him close to me, I want to kiss him!" He exclaimed, yelling into the pillow loudly relieving his anger and frustration.
"Good night, idiot!" With the last words, he fell into another slumber, irritated though excited for another dream.
