Additional information: Jeonghan, Jun, and Soonyoung are daytime vampires. You will find out how they became this way later.

Soonyoung and Jeonghan have a special relationship, don't be shocked. It really is a Jeongcheol and Soonhoon in the end, haha.

Kwon Manor

"Jeonghan!" shouted a man who looked young but was actually several centuries old. He sat at a desk surrounded by a mountain of papers to sign or fill out, while music blared from a nearby room, making it particularly hard for him to concentrate.

"Hey Soon!" called another tall and brooding boy as he entered Soonyoung's office.

"Jun, please go tell Jeonghan to turn down the music before I get up and drive a stake through his heart." Soonyoung fumed. Jun quickly obeyed and headed to the noisy boy's room. He knocked hard on the door, and moments later, Jeonghan appeared, completely naked with a smile on his face.

The Chinese boy didn't even seem surprised and didn't avert his gaze from the androgynous vampire's perfect body.

"Could you turn down your music? You're driving Soonyoung insane." Jeonghan sighed and, in half a second with his superhuman speed, turned off the music before returning to the door.

"Is that all? Does the king need anything else?" the rebel asked sarcastically. In an awkward gesture, he slightly opened the door, revealing a woman under the covers in the bed. Jun squinted his eyes as he saw bloodstains on her neck and the sheets.

"Jeonghan, why is there a naked woman in your bed?" Jun asked, not taking his eyes off her. The scent of blood was almost unbearable for a vampire.

"We were playing cards." Jeonghan joked, glancing at the woman before shrugging and licking his sharp canines flirtatiously.

"Is she dead?" Jeonghan was about to respond, but within two seconds, Soonyoung stormed into the room as well, having likely heard the conversation from his office. He stopped dead by the bed, checking if the woman was breathing. Thankfully, she was, just asleep after whatever had happened with Jeonghan.

The leader turned, furious, towards Jeonghan, who began dressing as the party was over with the older vampire's arrival.

"How many times have I told you not to feed on humans anymore!" Soonyoung yelled, his eyes red with anger. Jeonghan showed no signs of fear, despite the terrifying sight of Soonyoung; he seemed indifferent.

"We have a deal with the hospitals for that. They provide the necessary blood, and you can also find it in some vampire bars. You could have killed her!"

"NO! I know how to control myself. Stop treating me like an idiot; I'm tired of always following your rules. We're vampires, damn it, not nuns!" Jeonghan retorted heatedly, while Jun stayed silent, knowing it was unwise to argue with Soonyoung. But Jeonghan didn't like submitting to him.

Jeonghan found himself pinned against the wall as Soonyoung gripped the collar of the shirt he had just put on.

"Listen to me, Jeonghan. If I say this, it's for all of our good. If the Enclave finds out we killed a human, we'll have the Shadowhunters on our backs." he said through gritted teeth.

Even though he didn't like obeying, Jeonghan cared deeply for Soonyoung and Jun, like family. He said nothing, but held the leader's gaze.

"I won't keep giving you second chances forever, Jeonghan..."

"You're the one who turned me. I never asked to be like this."

"I saved your life."

"No! I never asked to become a monster!" The words hung in the air, creating a chilling silence as Soonyoung slowly released Jeonghan.
