A/N: I have been up all night, ive written this whole thing so far today. but i had to take a stupid break because i lost feeling in all of my limbs. so annoying.

Akutagawa POV

I woke up on my couch, feeling very confused. Atsushi was sitting next to me with a concerned look on his face.

Was that a dream?

When he notices me sit up, he jumps on top of me, pulling me into a hug.

"Oh my god, are you okay?!"

"Stab wound, stab wound," I say, inadvertently telling him to get off.

He craws back to the other side of the couch where he was before.

"What the hell happened...?"

He turns a bit red and looks down, messing with the bottom of his (my) hoodie. "You passed out and fell. You only hit the couch when you fell, so you're probably fine but it still worried me." Hes moved on to fidgeting with the strings of his (my) hoodie.

He looks so cute in that.

Suddenly, my memories come back to me. (A/N: YES PLEASE HAVE YOUR MEMORIES COME BACK AKU) Right before I passed out and he said...

My face turns bright red. I can feel it.

I like your laugh.

Four words. Such a simple statement. But god, four words can mean a lot.

I laugh again, because this is stupid. And I like that stupid look on Jinko's face. It does put that look on his face. His eyes go wide again. But then they relax, and he smiles.

Then he starts laughing. We both just sit there, laughing for a minute.

As we calm down, I ask, "How long was I out?"

"Like an half an hour, it's only noon."

I hum in response, then adjust myself so my back is against the couch instead of the arm rest.

"So..." he says, adjusting himself to be sitting next to me. "What you want to do?"

"Don't know, I usually don't do much on weekends. We can just talk if you want."

He slightly shifts himself again. "Sure," he says, seemingly awkward and looking down. Suddenly, he lays down, putting his head on my lap.

I let out a light laugh and roll my eyes, but comb my fingers through his hair. We sit there like that for a minute before I speak up.

"How's life at the agency?"

We talked for hours. I don't remember what I said, but he told me all about what was happening in his life. Dazai annoying Kunikida, him living with Kyouka and how they always do each others makeup, the missions he's been on. And the entire time we sit there, his head in my lap as I comb through his hair. For once, I feel like I can let my guard down.

There's a minute of silence between us, but it's not awkward.

As I'm combing my fingers through Jinko's hair, I hear a faint noise coming from him.

.
.
.

"Atsushi."

...

"Yes?"

...

"Are you purring?"

(486 words)

A/N: Fun fact! tigers actually cant purr! only smaller cats can. but we're ignoring that.
