When Sophie died part of Keefe died with her.  Even though he had only known her a short time, he knew from the moment he meet Sophie he had meet someone amazing and he only hoped in time she would come to him as someone she could trust. When Sophie died he knew he had lost someone special, a friend, or maybe something more. A person he could confide in. So when he heard Fitz talking about hearing "her voice in his head" he couldn't help but getting his hopes up. The same moment they got there they all let out a collective gasp. There next to the four seasons tree lay Sophie and Dex. However when they got closer they all let out another gasp, this time of terror. Sophie was half faded. There was a frenzy then as they tried to decide what to do. When they checked her pulse it was steady but faint. The same for Dex.  It looked like he had been shot with a melder. After some arguing they decided that Biana would leap to get Elwin. Before she leaped away she leaned over and whispered something to Sophie which none of us could hear. Then she was gone. "Someone will have to leap Dex to Everglen." Fitz pointed out. After some more heated arguing we decided that I would leap Dex. "Telapaths. Fine but I'm not leaving until Biana calls." "Okay." Fitz told me. We sat down next to Sophie and each held one of her hands. Begging her to hold on. Suddenly Fitz's imparter started to ring. Biana's face popped up and told us "Elwin will be there soon, but he needs to see Sophie in order to know what he needs to bring." We held the inparter up to Sophie's unconscious body and heard a gasp from the other end. Only later did we realize though that he had not even seen the full extent of it. Fitz reminded me of my promise, so when Fitz wasn't a looking I bent over and whispered something that will forever remain between Foster and me. I picked up Dex then and with one last longing look let the warmth carry me away.
