"Lilith Marie Jackson," my mother exclaimed, "Hurry up and finish packing!" I roll my eyes and continue to sip my coffee. She stands in the door way with her glaring eyes. I stare back at her with my bright blue eyes. "Lilly," she says waiting for my response. "Yes," I question, "Please work on packing." I take a big drink of my coffee then get my boxes.
She then leaves the doorway, and I slowly shut my door. I grin and plug my phone into my speaker. I scroll though my music then tap on playlists, and I found a suitable playlist to listen to. I blast it and get to work on labeling my boxes, and taping them. One of my favorite songs come on, and I smile widely, and began to sing with the lyrics as I grabbed one more empty box. I hear a knock at my door and my mother's boyfriend sticks his head in, "May I come in?" he asked. I didn't respond, I never really liked Adam. He never treated my mother right, and he drinks a lot. He talked to my mother about us moving into a new house with him. She obviously, and stupidly said yes. I told her that I didn't want to live with him, and most of all I didn't want to leave in general. We fought about it for awhile, and I have no choice but to hop into a sinking boat with them. I could have moved in with my father, but that wasn't an option. I did ask if I could, but my mother refuses to let me live with him.
I stopped singing and turned my music off before nodding at Adam. He walked in and sat at my bed, "I just wanted to let you know that our house is very nice, and has a huge upstairs room that screams your name." I looked at him, unsure what to say. I remained quiet and threw objects into my box. He gave out a frustrated chuckle, "Lilly-" he began to say, and I set my box next to him, "Look I'm going to be honest, I don't like you, and I don't care if I lived basement at the new house. If it was my choice, you wouldn't be in our life, we wouldn't be moving. I don't want you to give me any sympathy talk, so if that's why your in here I want you to leave right now," I said staring at him. He slowly stood up and began to walk away, but he stopped at the door way. "You have a beautiful voice by the way," he said while walking out the door. I growled and grabbed a pillow to throw. I mumbled to myself as I took deep breaths, I looked at the two black and white pictures on my nightstand. The first one I grabbed was my father. My fingertips glided against the picture, this was taken before I was born. When my dad was young while having a cigarette in his mouth and his hat on. I grinned and placed it back, while grabbing the next picture of my boyfriend. I remember taking this picture with my polaroid camera. I stared at his smile, and my grin became a smile. Ryan was laying on the ground, in the forest. His slightly long, brown, hair lightly brushed over his right eye. He was dressed in black and a band shirt, like he always is. He was staring at the sky, and smiled when he realized I was taking a picture of him. I kissed the photo gently before placing it back in it's spot. I grabbed my camera, and looked in the mirror. I fixed my black hair before laying nicely on my bed.
I aimed the camera at me, and took a picture. A couple seconds later a picture slid out the bottom of the camera. I grabbed it and shook it in the air before checking if the picture was okay. I stared at the picture, slightly surprised I looked very pretty in it. I stared at the picture a little bit longer before I set my camera down and grabbed a black sharpie on a box. I wrote in the white tab of the picture saying a personal I love you for Ryan. I smiled and set the marker down. I reached for my phone and dialed his number, and held it to my ear. I stared at the picture I held in my hand as the phone rang. "Hello?" I heard him say. "Hi love," I said with a chuckle. He laughed, slightly embarrassed. "So, I have a little present for you," I paused waiting for a response, "Oh really?" He said. "You should come over and get it, it is my last night staying here." There was a awkward silence, until I heard his cheerful voice. "I was planning on coming over anyways, I'm putting my shoes on right now I should be over in about fifteen minutes okay?" I smiled, "Okay see you soon," I was about to hang up until he spoke again, "Love you babe, bye." He hanged up, and I stood up and set my picture and my phone on my bed. I finished up taping and labeling boxes and put my two other pictures into my bag. Then there was a knock at the door. I rushed out of my bedroom and to the door.
I fixed myself before I open the door. There was Ryan, standing at my doorway with a teddy bear. I giggled and wrapped my arms around him, as he put his hands on my waist. I kissed his lips gently, than I heard a loud cough behind us. I pulled away, "Lilly, I thought I told you earlier that you can't have anyone over until your done packing," it was my mother. I sighed, "I finished a couple minutes ago, and besides it's my last day here," I looked at her, "I am going to see my boyfriend before we leave." Ryan peeked around my shoulder, "Hello Vanessa, sorry I won't stay long." She smiled, "No it's fine, stay as long as you want. I just wish Lillith would listen to me." I spoke again, "I finished my room, don't act like that," I grabbed his hand and lead him to my room. "Keep the door open!" I rolled my eyes as we walked into my room. He looked around with a slight frown, "So this is really happening, huh?" I walked to my bed and grabbed the photo. I handed it to him, and he gave me the cute, soft stuffed bear. He smiled and put the photo in his back pocket, "Thanks darling." I kissed his cheek, "No problem." I yawned, slightly tired. I looked out the window, it was dark. I stared at him for awhile, until I broke the silence.
"Will you cuddle with me?" I asked him. He laughed and nodded as I began to lay on my bed. He got onto my bed and wrapped his arms around me. I grabbed my phone and put on some music. I set it down and turn my body around to face him. I yawned again while I nuzzled into him. We talked for awhile, a few kisses here and there. It was like a dream. It was nice having time with him, talking, cuddling, pretending that nothing bad is going to happen. I knew I had to leave tomorrow morning, he knew it too. We didn't talk about though, we acted like that I wasn't leaving. I will remember this amazing moment with him. Soon I fell asleep, it was a great night, I forgot about all the bad things. Too bad that when I woke up, he was gone.
