They aren't restricted to just Energon for their diet. They are predatory so instinctively have a desire to hunt, kill and eat their prey.
Eating metal facilitates natural healing so medics aren't needed as frequently and only for severe injuries or illness
Very vocal species but can completely cut off all vocal sound or subharmonics when stalking prey or when wishing to hide emotions from other predacons
Any metal eaten that is not used for repairing the body is used as fuel for fire breath to conserve energon usage
Predacons have up to four stomachs of varying sizes, one for fire breath fuel, one for metal reserves and processing, one for raw energon processing and the fourth is for refined energon.
With practice, can use fire breath in bipedal mode. Learned skill not instinctive
Can eat raw energon crystals and the body will convert it into regular energon
Mating stuff
Females have heat cycles and are incapable of getting sparked outside of their heat cycle
First time mating, bonded pairs leave their mark on their mate's neck by biting hard enough to leave a scar. The action is instinctive
When going into heat a Predacon female will put off pheromones if she does not have a bonded mate it drives all other males into a hyper aggressive state towards other Predacon males when she is near often leading to bloodshed if she does not intervene and chose a mate or remains isolated during her heat cycle.
If a female Predacon does have a bonded mate only her mate will smell when she has gone into heat. In which the male often 'kidnaps' his bonded and they leave to find a secluded area to "ride out" the heat cycle together.
When impregnated the female begins nesting and her mate assists by bringing her items to build their nest with. Occasionally other members of the clan will gift nesting materials to help welcome the new members of the clan.
Predacons produce clutches of 2-7 young at a time
