"Hurry the fuck up Y/n!", Hikari shouted.

I clutched my bag thightly to my chest while trying to catch up with my best friend. "I swear I'm going to kill you Kari! Why haven't you told me our bus is coming earlier? I don't want to leave a bad first impression to our new teachers!"

She groaned loud. "Fuck I'm sorry okay? I haven't thought about taking the bus in the first place, I was thinking the whole time Kenma is going to pick us up but then he cancelled because he got early morning practice!"

"Are you fu-", I got cut off by a car stopping on the road beside us. The person rolled down the window of their mercedes, revealing a stressed Lev.

"Need a ride ladies? See I'm in a hurry too.", he chuckled nervously.

Hikari let out a relieved sigh and wiped her blonde hair out of her face. "Ahh yes you're our savior, Haiba."

I grasped her arm and threw her into the backseat. "Stop talking, instead hurry up Kari."

As soon as we entered the car and closed the door the boy sped up. Great first day as third years...

I let out a frustrated groan. "My parents are going to quite literally kill me if they find out about this."

Hikari typed something on her phone, assuming she's writing Kenma to scold him for not picking us up. So lucky.

Since the both of them started dating 2,5 years ago, you liked Kenma. Maybe it was his looks or his calm and relaxing personality. You couldn't quite tell but something about him had that special effect on you every time you saw him. The way he would wipe his sweat off his forehead after practice or his voice when he wakes up after falling asleep in class.

You felt terrible for backstabbing your best friend like that. That's why you tried to ignore Kenma as much as you can and to deny the strong feelings for the boy the last 2,5 years. But it didn't work. He has an effect on you.

Your thought train got interrupted by your caring friend: "If they are going to kick you out, don't worry my place is always a home for you.", Hikari reassured me. Lev smiled softly and I let out a chuckle.

I fished my phone out of my right skirt pocket and opened Instagram to scroll through the feed.

My parents are extremely strict about school. Not even an "A" is making them satisfied, only an "A+". If they knew there's a boy on my mind too... oh man they would throw me out of my own house.

That reminded me of him: Did he eat? Is he okay? I barely saw him in the summer break, only when he slept overnight at Kari's and she threw me out before they are doing anything. That hurts everytime... Not that I wanted to see them doing it but knowing your crush is happily taken to your best friend is just a different type of pain.
