𝐒𝐈𝐗 𝐘𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐒 𝐀𝐆𝐎.......
It was a Saturday morning and I wanted to spend it with Izuku. We were next-door neighbors, so all I had to do was walk a couple of steps to his house.
When I knocked on the door, his stepmother, Arlie, answered. She wasn't very nice, and neither was Izukus's father, but I guess she was a bit nicer than him. She was very tanned with shoulder-length black hair and was skinny she was also a bit long, if that makes any sense. She had a cigarette in her hand white house shoes, a white t-shirt, and black shorts that stopped at her mid-thigh.
"Izuku is in his room," She said, looking down at me while blowing the cigarette smoke at me. I don't know if it was on purpose or an accident, but she stepped aside and let me walk in.
"Thank you, Miss Arlie!" I say, smiling at her but not showing me teeth because one of my teeth fell out the other day.
She just laughed, but it didn't last long because she started to cough, and it sounded like it hurt. I walked inside, and she shut the door, walking toward her room. I walk inside Izuku's room only to find him crying in the corner with his knees up to his chest and head down.
"What's wrong, Izuku?" I ask him, rushing over to him and sitting down on the floor next to him. When he hears my voice, he looks up, and when he looks up, I see a mark on his cheek. "I don't wanna be here anymore. I wanna see my mama, my real mama." He says through sniffles I frown at his face and hug him.
I don't know what happened before I got there, but it had to have been bad. "What happened to your cheek, Izuku?" I ask him, wiping the tears that fell. "Arlie hit me again, and Daddy took Mama somewhere, and she looked like she didn't want to go. He was dragging her, and she was crying." He said, crying harder at the thought.
I stare at him in shock. My mouth opens a little, but I quickly snap out of my thoughts and hug him again. I feel bad felt bad for him and Miss Inko she was a very nice lady. "Don't worry, she's gonna be okay, Izuku."
"A-are sure?" He asks, calming down a bit. "No... But she's a strong woman." I sigh, telling him the truth. "You're right. I don't need to worry. My mom is strong!" He smiles, wiping the rest of his tears and pulling away from the hug. "Do you wanna come to my house? I have a new Lego set that I need help building." I ask him, looking at his eyes and then the reddish-pink mark on His face.
"Yes, but I'll have to ask Arlie if I can." He said, standing up and grabbing my hand, walking out of his room. When we walked out, I could see Miss Arlie on the couch in the living room with a lollipop in her mouth and the remote in her hand, flipping through channels to watch.
When we walk over to her, she sighs loudly, "What is it y'all?" She rolled her eyes, still looking at the TV, trying to find something to watch. "Arlie, is it okay if I go to y/n's house?" He asked, holding my hand a bit tighter. "Yeah, I don't care. Just leave me alone." She glanced at us before looking back at the TV. "Yay! Come on, let's go, Izuku!" I smile, dragging him out of his house and into mine.
When we got inside my house, I could smell my mom cooking breakfast. I finally let go of Izuku's hand, but when I do, he grabs it again, staring at me.
I ignore it, smiling, and walk with him into the kitchen. When we walk into the kitchen, I see fresh cinnamon rolls on a plate and my mom humming a song while making eggs. I tap her, and she lets out a hum, waiting for me to say something to her.
"Mama, can we help cook?"No, not right now. I wanna cook by myself, but you guys could help me another time, and we'll have a lot of other times since y'all are only ten." She said, smiling at us before continuing to cook.
