HONG EUNCHAE

I held my phone above my face. I was laying in my bed. We just moved to this new city, it was a big city. I was a little scared because tomorrow, my parents and I are going to the school to get me registered for the new upcoming school year.

I'm going into my sophomore year in High School, which wasn't bad. I'm a good student in school, I do my work and pay attention. Grades weren't a problem. It was the people that I was scared about. I got bullied a lot at my old school, so I was crossing my fingers and hoping this school would be different.

It was dim in my room, the only light being the lamp on my nightstand and the lights from outside. My phone was on the charger, and I was watching a K-drama on Netflix to make myself go to sleep.

School was only a few months away, which had me nervous. I heard my door open, and I accidentally dropped my phone on my face. "Ouch!" I exclaimed, sitting up. I looked over to see my older brother, Lee Chaemin standing there, holding in laughter.

I glare at him. "not funny" I say in a low voice, my eyes narrowed. "Haha, it's funny when you drop your phone on your face" He says, laughing. My eyes narrow more. "Chaemin! stop bothering your sister!" My mother yells from downstairs. "Yeah Chaemin, stop bothering me" I say, a tone of annoyance.

He turns away from the door, shouting from the top of the stairs. "Aw come on Mom!" He says, whining slightly. I giggle softly, and he turns to glare at me. He sticks his tongue out at me, then goes downstairs. I quickly turn my phone off and my lamp. I quickly cover myself with my huge and soft blanket.

I stared at the ceiling as my eyes close, falling into a deep sleep.
