"What's Going On?"
\ "Casper's POV:" /
I lift myself off the chair with a loud creak that spreads throughout the room. Sounding like a symphony as everybody starts to gather to the entrance and leave, the clusters of conversation wafting towards my spot in the crowd. It's been rather easy starting the academy here, I've found quite a few people who are rather snobby, but with a bunch of trust fund kids there's nothing much else to expect.
Most people have left me alone, except for some of the club leaders that are desperate for the extra boost of popularity a prince being in their club would give them. Whenever I walk past one of their booths, I always end up getting followed until I can get to my building. Other than that, it's been rather pleasant, I even managed to make a few friends that I would study with in the communal library or the student hall that's always packed.
Something has been mildly concerning though, I'll have these episodes where I'll shake violently and get disturbingly cold. I've just been trying to wave it off, but it's just been getting worse. So, like a responsible adult, I made myself an appointment for the hospital that's on campus. It wasn't very hard to get one scheduled within the next couple days which wasn't too surprising, but I was still grateful, nonetheless.

As I walked into the pale white hospital, I was instantly reminded that as a child I hated the doctors. It was always uncomfortable; The forced smiles from everyone (likely caused by the intimidation from whatever beefy soldier was planted next to me.)
But now I just needed to remind myself this is to help myself and prevent anything bad happening in the future. my head perked up as my name was drawled by the person behind the counter. Then the entire shebang that I oh so dearly missed started.
'Go ahead and step on the scale for me'
'I'm just going to be taking your height now'
"I'm now applying the blood pressure cuff'
'Deep breath for me now'
It didn't take long for the standard tests to be finished and for me to be left in the plain room.
'I really have no life; I need to find somebody to mess around with, it's getting pathetic at this point. 'I ponder as I just sit there with nothing to think about. no plans to prepare for a meetup with friends. I haven't found my mate yet, so there's no preparing for dates, or at least getting to know each other.
The doctor gave a swift knock before poking her head in with a polite smile. We discussed our concerns, got some of my questions answered and came to a conclusion that I needed scans done and that I'll probably be kept overnight for observation. I feel a pit in my chest as the explain it to me, but I try my best to shrug it off
'it'll just be for a night; they're only trying to help me...' I think to myself over and over again to try and erase the dread flowing throughout my body.
I lay back to the crinkly comfiness of the hospital bed., huffing at the heaviness that waves through my body and makes it hard to keep my eyes open. I stretch my hand over to my phone to start doom scrolling, since we all know it'll be a while until the doctor will come back.

\ "???'s POV:" /
I place my foot onto the sidewalk in front of the huge doors in what I assume to be the front of the building. I look around and see some similarities to the photos and veer my eyes down to the burner phone I have in my hand. The screen shows a tracker app, and the two dots are right next to each other.
'Seems to be where I'm supposed to be.'
I start to head inside through the sliding doors. keeping my head leveled with my shoulders, convinced the disguise I threw on would suffice. Instead of using the elevator, I use the stairs. Less cameras that way. I peek around the corner and see the guard walk out of the surveillance room.
'it's all going well, right on schedule for the shift change.' I think to myself with a cocky smirk
I hurry and whip inside the room. Immediately flicking through the cameras shown on the monitor. There're some people crying, a couple having...... a grand old' time, nurses station.
'Aha! found him' I let out a breath of relief as I see the blond laying in the bed. Reading what looks to be an interesting novel.
I smirk to myself, Glad that we're heading in the right direction. I open my burner phone once again and open a file filled with medical information. His medical information.
I skim through all the different tests they did, not seeing anything too concerning until I get to the blood testing. Immediately I notice some remnants of toxins that you'd have to travel several islands away to gather, then you'd still have to spend at least a week to find an herb to make it. Then even longer to make it into something you can consume without immediately dying. I speed out of the room and hop out of the window, hearing the sirens start to close in as I leave...
