Since Elena was the one who had the car last, Peyton was the one who made her pay for the car breaking down. Which she wasn't mad about, because she was the one who had the car last.

"Hey, those are my sketches!" She shouted as Lucas was going through the black portfolio.

"Sorry." He apologized.

"You're an amazing artist." Elena ignored him, as she was still irritated.

"You don't see me going through your diary!" She exclaimed.

"I don't have a diary." Elena rolls her eyes as she snatched the portfolio out of his hands.

"I thought you were different, I was starting to like you, like really like you." She exclaims.

"Elena." He didn't have anything to say.

"I don't even know why I bother." She shakes her head, full of disgust as she grabs her portfolio and leaves the shop.

Later that night Peyton ran into her room, her arms on her hips as she looked at her sister.

"Why did you throw yourself in that fight?" Peyton screetched.

"Not now, I'm busy." Elena said as she was sketching in her notepad.

"You know, I'm sick of this side of you. Just admit you have feelings for Lucas." Elena rolled her eyes.

"What do you know? Huh?" Elena asked, throwing her notebook to the side.

"I saw the way you looked at him, your face relaxes when you see him. You don't tense up, or feel nervous like you do whenever Nathan is around. You're not angry, or as upset as you usually get whenever you come back home. You're happier, and you have a glow to your face." She explains, and the realization kicks in.

"I do like him, huh?" She didn't need an answer, getting up from the bed and grabbing her shoes.

"Where are you going?" Peyton called. "To talk to Lucas." Peyton laughed.

"What?" She asked, looking at her sister in confusion.

"You're still in your PJs." Elena ignored it, not caring and left the house.

Elena noticed that Lucas was sitting on the porch swing with his mother.

"Elena? What are you doing here?" He asked, getting up to greet Elena.

She looked down and noticed that he was also in his pajamas.

"I um, I'll come back another time." She went to walk, only for Lucas to make eyecontact with his mom.

"Oh!" Her eyes widened, "I'll leave you two-" She skidaddles (Yes, I know don't judge me hahah).

"Do you want to sit?" She followed him to the swing chair.

Their shoulders bumping against the other as she twiddled with her fingers.
"I wanted to talk about yesterday." Lucas looked at her.

"I was out of line, I shouldn't have looked at your work." Elena shook her head.

"No, I was just worked up because Nathan used to do that and would judge my art. You, you didn't react the way I assumed you would. But, I guess that's why I feel sort of drawn to you." Her face flushed a deep red when she said that.

"What do you mean?" Elena sighed, leaning back into the swing chair causing it to move.

She rubs her eyes with the pads of her fingers, dragging it down to her lips.

"Every time I start to like a guy, they never like me the way I like them. I guess that trying to find something bad in you wouldn't make me start liking you too. I know, it's stupid but-" Lucas cuts her off.
