Jeverus FanFic || Those Red Eyes.
Chapter 1
Red eyes? || Severus' POV
---------------------
I felt the wind brush against my skin, the coldness of it made me shiver just a little. The pages of my book were quickly blown to the next as I looked over the vast canyon. I was on the edge of the window on the bridge, quietly and blankly staring at the view. I liked the sound of the wind whistling and the way the river below this bridge had many different creatures come up to it to grab a sip of water. The silence here on this bridge was the only thing I liked about the place. Students barely came to this bridge, since the only place it led to was to the Whomping Willows, which not many students would go to; unless they needed some sort of 'privacy'. I closed up my book and took a breath of fresh air. My mind was filled with thoughts earlier, but thinking about it now, I can hardly remember why I was here in the first place.
I had spent enough time here on this bridge, so I decided to leave and head back to the Hogwarts dormitory. I knew that there were already going to be a bunch of students gathered inside of the halls, but I was only going back to my dormitory, nothing could go wrong so long as I quickly head inside. I should've expected that after thinking those words, something bad would happen.
After arriving at the side doors of Hogwarts, the quidditch team had come back from practice, which was also nearby the side doors from where I was headed; which would mean, the Potter guy was heading the same direction I would be going to. I wanted to quickly avoid the guy, but it was as if everyone was just near this side of the castle building; trying to make me encounter this awful event between us. I tried pushing my way through the crowd of people rushing in, but with my slim body, I was easily pushed back by the others.
My bottom soon hit the ground, making me hiss in pain. I rubbed my bottom, feeling as if I was just easily bruised down there. I sucked the air through my teeth as I got up from the floor–and by my surprise, I could hear the most annoying laugh I've heard almost all the time.. James Potter, an annoying little gryffindor. Such a cocky bastard I say. An almost unbearable pest that you can't get rid of.
"It seems Snivellus didn't need my help in meeting the ground floor." The same jerky tone he always has. He laughed at me, alongside his friends, Remus, Sirius, and Peter.
His friends were always alongside him no matter what. It was as if they were always just there at my most embarrassing moments. I had to calm down, I couldn't let my anger get the best of me at this moment. I wiped off any dust on my bottom, turning around and completely ignoring him and his lackeys. I didn't want to stay here any longer, nor entertain him in a stupid little argument. I walked back into the crowd heading inside, but I was suddenly pulled back from my cape. I gagged, looking back behind me while I held onto my throat, coughing.
"What the bloody hell is your problem!?" I shouted angrily.
It looked as if Potter was upset over me ignoring him and his dumb words. I scoffed at his emotions.
"I can't believe that you, Potter, of all people–are annoyed because I ignored you?" I laughed, "Hah! Are you so obsessed with me that you want my attention?"
I was only provoking this further, even though I knew what would come of next to me.
Potter seemed even more upset after I've said what I thought; I expected that sort of reaction. He walked up towards me and grabbed onto my collar, beginning to drag me out to where I was earlier, the bridge. I kept trying to kick him off, but with his physique–I was basically kicking like a complete idiot. His grip on me didn't seem like he was going to let go of me anytime soon.
