Taehyung's pov-

When Jeongguk finally tapped my shoulder, I nearly jumped out of my skin. I had been waiting, wondering if he'd ever come to me, if he'd ever let down the walls he'd so carefully built. I turned to face him, and for a moment, all I could do was blink, trying to hide the surprise that was probably written all over my face. I hadn't expected him to approach me today, not after days of being ignored.

"We need to talk," he said, his voice low but steady.

My heart did a little flip. This was it. He was finally reaching out, finally willing to have that conversation I'd been waiting for. I gave him a nod, trying to keep my own emotions in check, and followed him out of the library.

We walked until we found a quiet spot, and then he turned to face me, the weight of his words hanging between us. I could see it on his face-he was struggling with something, probably for days. His usual cold exterior had cracked, and now there was this vulnerability in his eyes that I hadn't seen before.

He finally admitted what I already knew-that he'd been ignoring me, that he had been trying to push me away, but now... now, he didn't want to anymore.

"So, we're good now?" I asked, not letting go of the moment. "You won't ignore me again, right?"

Jeongguk gave a small nod, and I could see the tension in his shoulders slowly easing. "I won't."

Relief flooded through me, so much so that I couldn't stop the smile that spread across my face. I wasn't sure if I'd ever get through to him, but here we were, standing together. The walls he'd built were coming down, piece by piece, and it was because he wanted them to.

I couldn't help it-I had to push just a little further. "How about going on a date to make it up to me?" I asked casually, trying to keep the tone light even though my heart was pounding in my chest. I knew it was a risk, but I also knew that Jeongguk wasn't the type to run from a challenge.

He froze, his eyes widening just slightly, and for a moment, I thought I'd gone too far. But then, to my surprise, he agreed. He actually agreed.

I almost couldn't believe it. This cold, guarded guy had just agreed to go on a date with me. My grin grew wider, and I felt a warmth spreading through my chest that I hadn't expected.

"You're serious?" I asked, teasing him just a little, even though I already knew the answer.

"Yeah. I am." His voice was steady, and that only made the moment feel more real.

I wanted to laugh, to shake him a little and tell him how cute he was for taking everything so seriously. But I held back. This was important to him-important to us.

"Well then, it's a date," I said, my smile softening as I looked at him. I knew this was a big step for him, and I wasn't going to push any further than he was ready for.

But now, there was one more thing I needed to know. "What would you like to do on our date?" I asked, tilting my head slightly as I looked at him. I could see him thinking about it, his brow furrowing just the slightest bit as he considered his answer.

"I don't know," he said after a moment, his voice quieter now. "I've never really done this before."

I chuckled softly, not at him, but at the situation. "That's okay. We don't have to make it complicated. Something simple. We can go to a café, or just walk around. Whatever makes you comfortable."

He looked at me for a long moment, and I could tell he was still trying to process everything. I didn't need to read his mind to know that he was feeling something-something new, something unfamiliar, but something he wanted to explore. And I was more than willing to wait, to give him the time and space he needed to figure it out.
