NOVEMBER 10TH 1895

Casey grew and had a issue he got polio and know his left leg hurts and he has to use a crutch and the boys call him Crutchie and he likes it while I'm called Speedy and he's 11 I'm 13 but I had to tell Casey and Hazel somehow"hey Casey hey Hazel can we talk?" I ask and they nod and follow me to a room.

I take a deep breath and say"I'm leaving to go to queens I need you two to stay here ok I'm sorry"they hug me tightly.

I see the tears in their eyes and feel bad but I had to do this I lost the bet I can't come back until November 10th 1899 so it over I walked up to Jack"hey Jack I'm gonna be gone for three years take care of Crutchie for me ok"Jack nods.

I went to the lodge and packed my bags I wish I had more time but I didn't and I had to leave or I'd be late and have to sleep on da floor but I have to focus I finished packing and I ran but Miss Medda Larkin stopped me.

She asked me"Eric what are you doing shouldn't you be with the boys or are you walking to the Theater to get flirted on by the Bowery Beauty's".

I shake my head"I'm going to Queens for a while I just hope Crutchie and Hazel know I'm not going by force but I hate that I mad that stupid bet If I didn't I'd still be here in Manhattan but I had to make a bet and lose and I can't see my brother for 3 years it sucks".

Medda hugs me and tells me"I've done similar that's actually why I'm single made a bad bet and me and Devon ended up in different places but don't worry he'll be fine to boys will look after him don't worry I'll look after him".

I nod and she says"good luck Eric I'll see you 3 years from now".

I hug her and say bye and I run to queens.

I run as fast as I can having to stop a few times so I don't throw up can't do that today but I continue until I arrive at the lodge where I see this boy with a toothpick in his mouth and looked at me and said"glad you come Speedy I'm Grass welcome to the queen newsies".
