"PRAISE THE DEATH!" An old woman preached, wearing a large hood over her head. Around her were different people in the same cloaks, with a hood over their heads.

"Praise the death!" The company echoed, praising the god they revered as 'death'.

Among them was a significantly shorter boy, who also lazily echoed their words. It was as if he was forced to be here and stay. "Praise the death..."

Thus began the spirit dance, and everyone began twirling around. It was like a modern-day bar with drunk people inside, except that these people were not drunk one bit and were trying to summon spirits.

But this dance was stopped by the sounds of people rushing to their location. These people were here to arrest them!

Everyone scrambled immediately, except the shorter boy -- who strolled away from the scene. As he left, the sounds of people taking deep breaths to regain their breathing correctly from all that running.

"Everyone! Search the area. They couldn't have gotten that far!" someone shouted, causing the others to run off and find the cultists.

This short boy was named Claus, originally a boy of noble origins, who had run away and become an orphan on the streets. He was relatively small-statured enough to be mistaken for an elementary schooler. He wore a white shirt with long sleeves and pants that reached his kneecaps. Other than that, he had big brown eyes and messy fluffy black hair.

"Idiots~" Claus hummed, throwing his cloak to the ground and walking away -- passing by a few officers.

As he walked away, a taller male confronted him. "Ah? Claus, what are you doing here?" He asked, green eyes staring at the boy.

"..Leonard?" Claus raised his head, slightly meeting the eyes of Leonard Mitchelle. "I- I was on my way to... the bakery! I have a few soli, so I'm heading to buy some bread..."

"Hmm.." Leonard raised an eyebrow. "Alright then, stay safe. I've heard some kids getting lost around these parts."

The short Claus nodded quickly, dashing off. Leonard could only sigh at him, before walking on his own way.
