Chaeyoung set down her bags and took a deep breath, letting the reality sink in. This was hers, at least for now- her new rented apartment.

The room was modest but charming, with faded wallpaper that told its own stories and large windows that bathed everything in soft, natural light.

From her window, she could see the city skyline in the distance

From her window, she could see the city skyline in the distance.

She wandered over to the small kitchen corner and ran her fingers over the countertops. There were a few scratches here and there, hints of the lives that had moved in and out before her.

She wondered who they were and what had brought them here. A faint scent of lavender lingered in the air, as though the previous tenant had left a piece of themselves behind.

Chaeyoung unpacked her things, setting her mug on the counter. She carefully laid out her books on the small shelf by the bed, feeling a thrill at the sight of them there, like her life was finally settling into place. She'd been so worried about finding a place she could afford, and yet this one felt like it was waiting just for her, almost too good to be true.

After a while, she found herself drawn back to the window, watching as the city began to glow with the soft lights of early evening. With a warm cup of tea cradled in her hands, she nestled into the couch, a cozy blanket wrapped around her shoulders. She felt an unexpected calm settle over her as she gazed at the view, the faint hum of the city reaching her ears like a distant lullaby.

Tomorrow was her first day as a junior architect—her first real step into the career she'd dreamed of.

The next morning, Chaeyoung dressed in her finest outfit. She gave herself one last look in the mirror, making sure every detail was just right with her short hair. She wore a crisp white button-up shirt, and with a hint of light makeup, her look was both professional and fresh. Today marked the beginning of her career.

"Alright, you got this, Son Chaeyoung!" she whispered to herself with a grin
