TW: Death, Accident**---
**Taylor's POV**
Travis and I welcomed our little girl Emy three years ago, and Emy is extremely close to her daddy. My relationship with Travis hasn't changed; it's still as beautiful and healthy as ever. Travis is thinking of retiring at the end of this season, and I'm starting to repair a tour that will begin in two years.
We woke up as usual, a little before Emy, and when he didn't have training and I didn't have to go to the studio, we allowed ourselves to cuddle in bed until Emy woke up and called for us.
"Travis, can you go grocery shopping, please? I don't want to have to call security and set up a whole protocol just to go buy—"
"Taylor, calm down, it's fine. I don't mind doing it. I'll just take a shower and get dressed, but I'll go right after, okay?"
"Thank you, my love. Have I ever told you how much I love you?"
"I think you have, but I wouldn't mind hearing it again."
Sitting on the bed, he leaned down to kiss my lips, and I took the opportunity to wrap my arms around his neck and pull him even closer.
"Tay, I have to go grocery shopping, I'll call you back."
"I love you, Travis."
"I love you too, Tay."
He went to take his shower and came back to the room to get his things. In the meantime, I got up to do some daily chores.
"Tay, I'm going. Send me the list by text."
"Okay, I love you, Trav. Drive carefully."
"I love you too."
With those last words, he left.

**Travis's POV**
Once I left the house, I got into my car and headed to the supermarket, which wasn't that far.
On the way, I looked at my phone to see the list Taylor had sent me, and without realizing it, I ran a yellow light.
When I looked up to check the road again, I turned my head and saw a dark shape approaching me. I saw a truck now only a few meters away, going much faster than the speed limit. Barely had I time to slow down when I heard a loud boom, and everything went black.

**Taylor's POV**
Emy had woken up, and it had been over an hour since Travis left, which wasn't like him—he usually liked to be there when Emy woke up.
"Dadda, dadda."
"Yes, I know, sweetie, daddy will be home soon."
I heard my phone ring and saw an unknown number.
"Yes, hello?"
"Is this Taylor Kelce Swift?"
"Yes, that's me. Who is this?"
"Hello, I'm a nurse from St. Joseph Medical Center."
"Okay... what's going on—wait, Emy—sorry, what happened?"
"Can you put the child you're holding down and sit somewhere?"
"Yes, of course."
I put Emy in her play area to keep her occupied and sat on the couch.
