Saturday October 28th
hi my name is Genisis Marie Curtis. I'm 13 years old, yea I know I'm the youngest in the group. Anyways so I guess the gang sleep over today because I heard Steve yell at two-bit because he stole the blanket or something. As I walked out I heard jade say "good morning pumpkin" "morning" I said as I walked to the kitchen. I seen Darry and Beth talking while making breakfast, then Beth came up to me and kissed me on my forehead. I love Beth, she's like another to me and she makes me feel special. "I heard there was a rumble happening" Dallas said.
"Wait can I go" I asked with a serious face. "No Genisis, we don't want u too get hurt" soda said as the gang started laughing at me. "I'm not gonna get hurt I promise" I said with a sad face and sat on the floor "I practiced, I just wanna fight I practiced" you started to tear up and the gang felt bad. "Alright I'll make a deal with you, if you show me that you can handle then rumble then I'll think about it" Darrel said, "how do I show you?" I asked because he never satisfied what I needed to do.
"Listen do us" soda said , "don't get into any fight" Steve said. "No more talking back" two bit said. "And you have to go to school for the rest of the school year" pony chimed in "shut up pony!" I yelled because they just kept adding things on, "that's one strike Genisis! You have 2 more left" Darrel said. I just rolled my eyes and went to my room so I could get ready for the day.
As I went to my room I changed into blue jean shorts with a short shirt and a long weird jacket and I braided my hair and added some jewelry. I walked out and seen soda and Steve arm wrestling, Johnny hiding in the corner, two-bit trying to kill pony, Dallas talking to Katy, Darrel,Beth,and jade talking in the kitchen. Then I seen the rest of them watching Mickey Mouse. "Everybody stop right now!" I said loudly. "You alright Genisis?" Ponyboy asked. "No! No I'm not, soda and Steve sit down on the couch or go do that shit outside, twobit lay off of ponyboy, and stop with the food throwing Dallas and Katy! Where's Johnny! Oh Johnny buddy it's okay come here" I said as I picked him up from the floor in the corner.
"Listen! I need to clean so if everyone can go play outside or something I woukd be very grateful" I said , "but Genisis you clean like everyday" Steve said. "Yes! I do because it heals me and it makes me happy to see the house clean! And you never know if someone comes in to see if the house is clean and if it's not then me soda pony and jade will be sent somewhere else! So I'm trynna help us out!" I said with an attitude because I DID NOT need to explain why I wanted to clean the house.
Anyways. "Don't worry gen we will leave" Beth said and came to kiss my forehead, atleast Beth sees the good in me. 'Thank you' I mouthed to her. She just smiled.
After they left I play the song (the one on the top) and started to clean. It felt nice and relaxing to do this by myself. I was almost done until I heard a knock on the door so I went to open it.
There was the FUZZ!? (Police officer) WHAT WHERE THEY DOING HERE?AM I IN TROUBLE? DID SOMEONE DIE? I tried to be calm as I possibly could be. "Good evening Mrs. Genisis I'm just checking if you have seen Dallas Winston" of course! Dallas! He's always getting him self intoruble "may I ask what he did?" "Well he robbed and store and jumped little kids" he said, I was pissed! "No I haven't, but once I do I'll give him some sence" I said "okay have a good day".
Yes I did lie but it was because Dallas just got out of the cooler (prison).
Now I will have a talk with him once he gets here but first I need to clean the house.
It's been 2 hours and they just came back. I think they seen how angry I was. "You alright Genisis?" Dallas asked, I went up to him and pushes him then Darrel and two were holding me back "no! No I'm not okay Dallas the fuzz just came here asking for you, said you robbed a store and jumped little kids! What the hell has gotten into you, no offense to you Katy but Dallas ever sence you got with her you've became more ruder and violent." "Oh yea like I'm the problem here! Genisis get away from me your not my mother and I will do whatever I want" Dallas said, oh man he mad me real mad. I started to breathe harder and said "fine! Then next time your in the cooler I won't bail you out anymore" had tears in my eyes,then I walked out and slammed the door.
I walked out and went to the lot to cool down. "If it isn't Curtis" I turned around and seen bob and his two little brothers that were my age. Danny and beck , ugh I'm too mad to deal with them. "Leave me alone bob im not in the mood" I said wiping the tears off of my face. "Genisis what's wrong?" Bob asked he also sounded concerned? Was bob worried about me. "It's Dallas! He always get intoruble then I try to put him in his place then he's yells at me. Every time he goes into the cooler I'm the one who bails him out. ALWAYS. And I'm tired of the police coming to my house asking me to put him in his place yk, it's gets exhausting for awhile" I said.
"Genisis, I know this sounds weird, crazy and stupid but. Me my gang and my brother are here for you. And yes I know we always jump you and stuff but this is the first time I ever saw you sad" bob said, it felt good he said that. "Thanks bob I really appreciate it. I mean if i always just keep stuff inside." "I know how you feel Genisis, maybe you could hang out with us tomorrow." Bob said with a smile on his face. "Yea sure" "see you tomorrow Curtis" Danny and beck said. I never realized how cute beck was tho.
