Chapter 95 -- Dreams Can Come True - Part 3

It could be said that the short drive back to the palace from the Cathedral on Aldara was like a dream. You were in your wedding gown, seated next to your new husband Tech in his white suit and glasses. You were cautiously resting your head on his shoulder, letting your neck rest from the headdress you had been wearing, but also letting your heart relax after the emotional intensity of the ceremony. There were so many emotions swirling around in your mind and it was nice to finally have a reprieve from the adrenaline and stress. You were unbelievably happy, that was true, but saying your vows, being in front of everyone, and just getting through the ceremony had still be stressful. Now on your calm ride back to the palace on a beautiful day with your handsome husband, you could finally breathe and take a break before going back into the fray.

Soon the palace's grand architecture loomed ahead, and you walked back up the grand staircase now with Tech at your side to move towards the private lunch room. Echo walked ahead with Veraxsis, and they both brought Tech along with them so that you and Senator Chuchi could quickly take out your hair-piece in a side room before returning to them. With your hair now just held back by the clips and decorations you felt the relaxation in your shoulders. You and Senator Chuchi then settled down with the men in a pleasant small room with a table for lunch.

There wasn't much conversation had at first, but there were plenty of jokes between Echo and Tech with you and Senator Chuchi laughed along. Veraxsis stepped out after finishing his meal, saying "Someone will come and fetch you once we are ready, but I'm going to head down there and make sure everything is running smoothly".

"See you soon" You smiled and Tech nodded as Veraxsis smoothly exited.

"I'm excited to see what he's cooked up" Echo chuckled.

"Likewise" Senator Chuchi smiled, although you could see some reservations on her face.

"Veraxsis is in charge of the reception?" you ask and both present nod with Tech also affirming you question.

"From the information I gathered it would appear your smuggler associate has done the entire after party himself. I would be interested to understand his organization and planning process for the ensuing event, however we shall see what he has 'cooked up' soon" Tech replied, finishing his lunch and now reaching over to hold your hand.

"Its gunna be big" Echo chuckled "I got a peak at the plans".

You felt a little nervous at Echo's comment but you wouldn't have much longer to dwell on it before a handmaiden came through the door to summon you. This was not to head down stairs just yet, but to change into your next gown. Senator Chuchi followed behind you, waving a short goodbye to the guys and joining you in your room to change.

This dress that you had picked out was also a white color, with some floral trim, but mostly just satin fabric for the bodice and skirt. It came below your knees but allowed for you to dance and move about much easier then your wedding dress would have. The sleeves had more floral print on them, in large bell shapes with a taper at your wrist, and a sweetheart kneckline which let you show off your engagement ring on a cord around your neck. Your hair was restyled to be more comfortable and flowing down while still covered in decorative pearls and your makeup was touched up.

Senator Chuchi changed into a dress as well, but left her hair as is. Evidently her neck was used to the weight of the hair pieces. Senator Chuchi's dress was navy just like the suit that she wore during the wedding ceremony, but it had golden flecks that were spread throughout the dress collecting along its asymmetrical tiers and at her shoulder which had a few false golden flowers decorating it. There was a slit in the side of her dresses allowing for more mobility, and it came up to her knee.
