Soccer Is What Connects Us

I looked at the field below, I can't believe that those guys would actually play against Teikoku Academy.

A little while ago, when Teikoku Academy arrived, they did a little sideshow which maybe have scared some of the team in Raimon, especially that big guy with a green thing on his head (?) Which caused him to scurry away to the bathroom.

And then a girl, Aki, I think, ran towards the field with someone which who will play, and let me tell you that this guy seems to be a kind of coward... But hey, I can't judge someone I literally don't know.

And then a guy came towards the team, who's perhaps the coach,panicking and the team immediately went to find the guy that apparently went to the bathroom.

Lastly, they all came back with the big guy whose name is Kabeyama back to the field.

And naturally, the game would usually start by a coin toss but the opposing team, Teikoku's captain walked off and let Raimon have the ball.

Let's go back to the present shall we?

It was currently the end of the first half and it was not looking well.

Looking at the scoreboard, I can't help but grimace.

Teikoku literally showed no mercy towards Raimon and also, Raimon are sweating buckets while the opposite team are not.

Hm, the students from Raimon that's watching the game are sure disappointed at this.

Like you guys can do better.

And although Raimon scored nothing, their captain keeps his overly positive energy.

That's definitely surprising, hm.. I like his energy.

Unknowingly, a smile crept up to my face.

When the second half started, I walked down to the field, just behind the benches where the coach (?) And Aki and another girl,Haruna, are sitting with a student who's apparently also the commentator standing beside them.

"Excuse me. Mind if I sit here?"

The two girls turned their heads around, "Mhm! Go ahead!"

I nodded and sat down beside them after saying my thanks.

I feel so sorry for this team, once the game started with Teikoku's kick off, they used a hissatsu technique; Death Zone.

And of course, Endou couldn't block it.

This continued for a while, the team is now on the floor— unable to move and despite this, Teikoku still keeps shooting but they're aiming on Endou's face.

Ah.. I never thought that soccer could be turn into a war.

Then, one of the Raimon's players ran towards the net and got hit on the face by blocking the ball for Endou.

"Kazemaru!"

Kazemaru? Isn't he on the track field?

Endou went to help him and Kazemaru slowly walked away from the net.

The opposing team's captain smirked as he passed the ball towards his teammate who kicked the ball towards Endou with his hissatsu technique.

And when I just thought that Endou would be able to block it, the ball hit his face, bringing himself to the net along with the ball.

The only one standing is the wimpy kid, Magane.

Or not.

He ran away crying while taking off his jersey and threw it on the floor just in front of a guy.

Hm? He seems familiar... Could he be the reason why Teikoku is here?

And of course, Teikoku didn't stop here, they used Death Zone again, scoring another goal.

"Hey, you're not on the soccer team!" The coach (?) Of Raimon stood up and walked towards the field.

The familiar guy earlier was now wearing the uniform that Megane threw and was on the field.

However, Teikoku's captain let the guy in to play as the substitution.

Endou approached him and almost fell but was caught by the guy, according to Endou, the guy's name is Gouenji.

Gouenji, Gouenji Shuuya.. I see, I was right. No wonder he looks familiar.

The game started again and Teikoku used the same hissatsu again, however, Gouenji ran towards the opposite goal— letting Endou block the shot himself.

When the ball was almost near the goal, a yellow hand came in front of Endou— stopping the ball from getting inside the net.

A hissatsu technique?

Endou's smile was up to his eyes, "Gouenji!" He threw the ball towards the said boy.

Gouenji received the ball and jumped high enough with the ball, powerfully kicking it.

"Fire Tornado!"

The goalie of Teikoku couldn't block the shoot, making Raimon score a goal.

Aki and Haruna, stood up, jumping in Joy as they held each other's hand.

After this, the referee suddenly announced that Teikoku has withdrawn from the match.

So we won? Raimon won the match?

"You need to write this on your article!" Aki said to Haruna, who was looking at the opposite team as they left.

"Right!" Haruna responded.

That one goal will change the flow of this team, I know it.

I looked back at the field and saw Endou holding the number 10 jersey, and there was no Gouenji Shuuya in sight.

I stood up with a smile, I will definitely join this team.
