Taehyung's jaw clenched from the moment he saw Jungkook standing at the altar. This was supposed to be one of the happiest days of his life, but instead, it felt like a twisted punishment.
His family's company, Kim Industries, was drowning in debt, and the Jeons had come swooping in with a lifeline—on one condition. Marriage.
A merger in the form of vows, rings, and forced smiles.Every second he spent looking at Jungkook felt like a silent betrayal of everything he had once dreamed of.
Jungkook, on the other hand, had held onto a sliver of hope that maybe, just maybe, things could be different. As they exchanged vows, he managed a tentative smile, searching Taehyung's gaze for any flicker of warmth, but he found only an icy, unreadable stare. Despite the ache in his chest, he kept his voice steady, whispering the words that bound them together in front of family and friends.
Kim Taehyung was the CEO of Kim Industries, 26 years young man. Good at heart, but hates Jungkook since the moment he got to know the he's gonna marry him.
On the other hand, Jeon Jungkook, only child of his billionaire parents, but never got there love. He follows everything his parents say in hopes of receiving love and care. He's a chef in a small cozy cafe which is the only source of his smile and peace.
After the ceremony, the silence between them grew thicker and heavier. When they finally entered Taehyung's home—their home now—Jungkook tried to break the tension.
"Taehyung shi, I know this isn't what either of us wanted, but maybe... maybe we could find a way to make this work?"
Taehyung's eyes snapped to him, hard and unyielding.
"Work?" he scoffed, voice dripping with sarcasm.
"Do you really think I'd waste my life playing house with someone who's only here for a paycheck?"
Jungkook flinched, but he hid it behind a practiced mask.
"I'm not here for your money, Taehyung- shi. This isn't easy for me either."
"Oh, please," Taehyung cut him off, stepping closer, his eyes blazing.
"Spare me the martyr act. You're just like the rest of them, doing whatever Daddy tells you so you can keep your precious lifestyle."
With a sneer, Taehyung grabbed Jungkook's suitcase, tossing it unceremoniously down the hallway.
"You can stay in the guest room, and don't call me Taehyung, you don't have right to call me with my name" he spat.
"And don't think for a second that you belong in my room."
Jungkook's face paled as he took in Taehyung's words, his heart cracking under the weight of them. He fought to keep his composure, swallowing down the pain that clawed at his chest.
"Ok Mr. Kim," he replied, voice barely above a whisper.
