You wake up, eyes opening as you stand up and look around you.

'Where...where in the world am I!?' You begin to panic. 'This...this is not my room! Am I in a city!? I don't even live close to a city! This doesn't feel like a dream...'

Despite knowing this wasn't a dream, you stupidly decide to pinch yourself.

'Ouch! Okay I definitely felt something. But no this has to be a dream!'

As you stand there, your idiot self starts to notice that the people around you were not speaking English, they were speaking a different language.

'Japanese? Japanese!? WHY AM I IN JAPAN!?'

...

'This is no good! If I'm in japan, I-i can't speak Japanese!!'

"What am I going to do!?" You finally make noise out of your mouth after almost 10 minutes of feeling out.

[...], "hey author?"

You decide to sit on a bench nearby to grapple with the reality that you are in a place where no one speaks your language, you look at the news program, can't understand anything, you look at a family, can't understand if the mother is mad or happy at her child, you look at a new couple and don't know if they are flirting or if they are breaking up. What will you do?

'Oh I wish I would have actually learned Japanese!! I was planning on going to Japan but I never thought it would be now!! And I just realized that I don't have any money! I am going to starve or freeze to death! This is the worst!'

[...], "a.u.t.h.o.r"

You decide that everything is hopeless and start to wish that you where back in that house—

[...],"AUTHOR!" It yells at nothing once more. You couldn't hear it nor did it help story progression at all—

[...]," if you don't listen to me I'll kill her!" It makes a threat. Since the "author" didn't want to write her character back to life just because she could it wouldn't make any sense; the author decided to listen to [...].

[...]," thank you! Okay so my duty is to make sure that (y/n) can do what she wishes to happen in this story, I need her to be able to know how to hear and speak Japanese. So if you don't mind please do this for me. And...if she doesn't have a place to stay give her one"

[...]'s requests are within reason, I mean, what a boring story this would be if the main character couldn't speak the language of the supporting ones? But any other request seemed outrageous.

Suddenly you feel light headed and dizzy and your vision blurs. You collapse into the floor.

"Hey...hey...wake up!" You awake to a random women asking you to wake up.

'Wait I can understand her? I can understand Japanese!'

"Are you okay? You were passed out on this bench..." the kind lady asks.

"Yes I'm fine" you responded in Japanese.

"If you say so...I hope you have a good day." The lady leaves, not caring to ask if you had a place to stay.

'Not only can I understand japanese, I can speak it as well! What a nice turn of events!' You think to yourself, as you revel in your new found skill your ears can't help but pick up on what's being broadcasted on the news.

"Six new criminals have been found dead, all from heart attacks, could this be the work of Kira?"

'Huh...huh...? HUH!? Just what in the world is happening!?'

Bonus:

[...] feels happy about their growing friendship with—

[...] realizes that it should not have called the author out and now the author is mad at it.

[...] has a disgusting look on its face, "Seriously?"
