i know like no one who goes to my school follows me but i am still gonna do this

rules to survive middle school (at least mine):

1 - if you want to bring your phone in the bathroom but don't wanna get caught, go to guidance and fake text someone and put it in your waistband and cover it with your sweater or shirt.

2 - on chicken tender days, say no to the mashed potatoes and bbq sauce, firstly bc it's nasty, and they will normally get you an extra piece of chicken!

3 - DO NOT EAT THE TO-GO BURGERS. THEY ARE NASTY. (i managed to live off of them but they are cold)

4 - ask to listen to music, even if you don't have a 504 plan, most teachers will let you during any silent working time. I was able to in math by asking and just did it in ELA and Social Studies because my SS teacher doesn't care lol

5 - be careful with gum. either have a huge pack bc people will ask, or you'll get it taken away from you.

6 - USE YOUR LOCKER!! Don't break your back. I keep my Science, Social studies, and ELA notebooks in there because that's when i pass my locker, but you will hurt yourself if you carry 4+ binders/notebooks.

7 - If you are in band/chorus, get a binder and protective sheets. it's too easy to lose sheet music and for it to fall out. you can always keep it in the band room w/ your instrument.

8 - please don't spray anything in the locker rooms. my friend once had an asthma attack because someone sprayed their perfume.

9 - speaking of locker rooms, no one is looking at you. Especially in 6th grade, everyone is self conscious and scared to change. you could always change in the bathrooms if you really need to.

10 - always have pencils on you. i've found so many pencils this year already. i've kept the same like 3 pencils in three month. mechanical pencils work best for me, but use what works best for you!

if i missed any let me know ;3
