guys soryr im so lazy, i've been staying up til 3 am reading fanfics :P, i'll try to post every day so u can live with these short chapters >w<
"Hey you, stop right there!"
A cheery voice appears out of nowhere, and you wildly spin around to find the source of the voice. A long, brown-haired girl wearing a silly headband with red bunny ears and amber eyes approaches you... A bow in hand... Pointed right at you and Paimon!
"Ack! H-hello, I-" you begin, trying to ease hostilities-
"pAiMoN iS sCaReD, Y/N!!! AHhhHHhhhHHHhhhhhHhHHHHH!!!"
Paimon interrupts your attempt to make friends with the strange girl, and she starts zooming through the air before turning back and pulling you along. Yet her attempts are in vain, as you stand there without moving and stare right back at the girl.
{Amber POV}
Wow, they're... they're so- AMBER SNAP OUT OF IT!
The person standing in front of me glared right back at me, something I usually am never scared of (plus it never happens anyways, but sometimes Miss Jean will scold me for exploding things with Klee). Especially when said glaring person doesn't have a weapon to intimidate me with.
But this time... From what I could tell, they didn't have a vision, nor anything dangerous on them that could possibly hurt me. On the other hand, they give off... an intimidating aura, I suppose? But not just that- there are so many things I could name off that I immediately thought of when I first saw them- and so many I could not. Strange would be the word.

"P-Paimon! Stop it!" You yank your arm out of her grasp and continue to watch the girl wearily, as if she was an escaped psychopath.
Finally, after what seemed like ages of waiting, she finally let words out of her mouth other than the first ones she said. "Safety protocal, please tell me who you are and why you are here. This is to keep Mondstadt safe..."
"I-It's y/n, I'm trying to find the god- I mean, archon of this nation.. Mondstadt, was it?"
"Yes! Paimon is here with Paimon's good friend y/n, to try to find the Anemo ARCHON!"
"..." Amber doesn't reply for a moment.
"Uhm.. you can trust us?" you quietly say, stumbling on your words as you try to gain her trust... Who even was she?
"I-"
"Who are you, anyways?" you blurt, putting your hands on your hips.
"Innocent until proven guilty, I guess! You seem like a nice fellow, anyways. I'm Outrider Amber, of the Knights of Favonius!"
"Gee, that was a big surprise to Paimon with such a big mood swing."
You explain to Amber about why she is here, and Amber actually tears up when she hears about losing your brother. You kept it brief, only telling the basics of what happened and not making it seem weird.
"Oh no.. So you lost your only family member you know when you were exploring around here? That's terrible!"
"Uhm, yeah! Totally! It's honestly really sad." You know you're lying a bit, but why would you explain about an 'unknown god'? You'd probably be called crazy!
After you fight a few monsters and do a few favors for Mondstadt, you and Amber walk over to the city of freedom's gates. Two guards salute you as you walk past.
After a few days of helping out, Amber introduces something completely new and exciting:
Gliding.
Without wings, of course!
JKJK lol y/n would never do that. Amber tells you she will personally teach you how to glide and get your gliding license!
