The planning was almost complete, they made sure the nearby guards who were stationed there were involved in different tasks at one particular moment of time, and they will use that chance to strike and none of them would be around when the deed was committed so as not to get caught.
The weapons were at ready now they they just had to wait.
While waiting they decided to play a game of wits, asking each other tough to toughest question they could thinks of. And there was just a 2 hour wait more when it occured the first on to be struck was Anjulika.
To Anjulika it felt like her soul had been wretched out of he body, and every organ was being boiled and snatched and scratched, it was burning and cold all together, and a pain so immense that she wished for death within a few moments. She was unaware of the outside world, and the only thing she could see was whitness and her ears were ringing. Her heart was is such immense pain that it was immeasurable. Unable to take it anymore she collapsed.

Manjulika was absolutely startled when the knife and in Anjulika's hand along with the apple fell to the ground. And then Anjulika was holding her head and screaming, she was screaming so loudly that the whole palace must've heard her.Manjulika was absolutely startled and fear trickled in her heart, something she had not felt in a long time, she quickly called out to Anjulika and tried to calm her dow, which didn't seem to be working. She tried to ask her what hurt but she couldn't get anything. She instantly called the guards and maids and told the to call the Royal healer.

And then suddenly everything stopped. Anjulika stopped screaming and moving.

For a moment it scared Manjulika and she after along time feared loosing her sister. Dev(Devdrath) had also arrived and was holding Anjulika. He was quickly ordering the servants and picked Anjulika upp and layed her on the bed.

Dev came up to her and softlyy called out
"Didi" and Manju(Manjulika) tuned to him with her tear filled eyes
"Dev Anju(Anjulika) she.. she was..nothing was wrong she was laughing and then.. Devu she.." and Manju broke down, Devu hugged her shedding his own tears and told her
"Didi ANJU didi ko kucch nahi hoga, she is strong, and her chest is still moving we have one of the best Royal healers we will save her."

Few minutes later
Manjulika was standing on the corner while royal healers bustled around.
One minute she was standing in all her dignity after her previous breakdown, and next she was on the floor, clutching her head and screaming. She felt like she was splitting in 2 and just like how Anjulika felt she went through it and in the end lost Consciousness.

Devadrath who witnessed this was shaken to the core along with the all the other people present in the room.
He quickly rushed to his his other sister.

Tears once again pricked his eyes as he failed to comprehend what was happening.

Both of his sister had been in immense pain and then stopped moving.
It scared him, he loved his sisters very much and the thought of loosing them shook him to the core.
He couldn't loose them as manjulika was also carried to bed and laid beside Anjulika. All DEV could do was stare at them with his full and teary eyes,

OH how much he wanted to be hugged and reassured by his sister.
His heart clenched in pain with worry.
He was restless.
There was a plethora of emotions coursings through his body.
Namely anger, fear,worry and hatred clouded his senses.

He felt immense anger and hatred for whatever made his sisters like this, and at their father who had yet not graced them with their presence even though his two eldest might just be dead.

He knew his father waas biased but manier emperors were, but this....still not coming even though they might be at their deathbed and prioritising whatever he was busy doing. This was going too far and it struck a chord in his heart as he realised they way his father treated his elder sisters and saw how it had been in all these years.
Needless to say it collapsed his three world views and brought down the respect for hhis father several levels.
