"Mama!" My daughter, Azalea, said once she woke up. I look down at her. She had her small arms wrapped around my legs and she was smiling so brightly, I was sure her cheeks were hurting.
"Hi baby." I said, picking her up. Her arms immediately were wrapped around my neck and she rested her head on my shoulder.
She is such a mommy's girl, it's so cute. I kissed her forehead before letting her down.
"Are you hungry?" I asked her. She shook her head in no and started playing with her toys.
I sat down on the couch and watched her. She looked exactly like her father. Her grey eyes were identical to his. Him and I both had blond hair but hers looked like his.
Luca was a cold man. He didn't like speaking many words. What happened was a drunken mistake. We had opened up about many different things. After I found out I was pregnant, I left the state. I explained to my best friend, his sister, and explained everything to her. She was disappointed with what I had done but accepted my decision.
I had named her Azalea because that's what he wanted to name his future daughter. Her middle name is Lily because that's what I wanted to name my future daughter.
Today I'm going back since I had gotten a job as a real estate agent. She will finally meet her father and that's what I'm scared about.

The flight back to New York was tiring. It was Azalea's first time on a plane and she was terrified. She also got that from her father.
When we landed, I was greeted by Gabriella's tight embrace. I missed her so damn much, not even words could explain.
When we pulled away, she looked down at Azalea. Her eyes widened when she saw her.
"She looks just like him." Gabi said.
"Hiii!" Azalea said cheerfully.
"Hi, my love." Gabi said, carefully picking her up.
"You pwetty." Azalea said, blushing. Gabi smiled at her and started talking to her.
"He's here, by the way," Gabriella says out of nowhere. "He doesn't know, don't worry." She said when I tensed.
I looked around and saw him leaning against a car. That wasn't what caught my eye though. It was the woman next to him. She had brown eyes and dark black hair. Her body was curvy, nothing like mine. She was wearing a black dress with red bottom heels. Nice way to show off. She was smiling at something he was telling her.
His eyes locked on mine and all he did was nod in acknowledgement before focusing back on the girl.
"I'm sorry I never got to tell you about her." Gabriella said, looking at her in disgust. Guess she doesn't like her.
Gabi grabbed our bags and I picked Azalea up. She rested her head in the crook of my neck, her tiredness showing.
"Go to sleep, baby." I whispered to her. I waited for Gabi to catch up to me before walking to the car.
