After a short chase scene between me and Lainey, who was still holding the knife (that's the last time I give away her pizza to Chica), I told her that I didn't know where to get candles in a pizzeria.
"Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you that they're in my bag," she says as she walks over to a nearby table, a bag resting on top of it. After digging around in it for a moment, she pulls out the required candles. At that moment, I hear footsteps. I turn around and see the animatronics walking in.
"Wait, so what's the knife for?" I ask, raising an eyebrow.
She laughs suspiciously, making me worry for my life. "You'll see..." She runs onto the stage and starts arranging the candles. She puts them in a diamond shape with the red one in the middle. "Okay guys, come stand in this and hold han- er... paws. Make sure you each stand in front of one of the white candles." The animatronics do as she says and I go up onto the stage with them.
"What about me?" I ask.
"Go on the other side of the candles, but stand in between two of the white candles. Like me," she says as she points to the other side. This all seems weird to me, but I'm going to go along with it. "Now this part is really important. I need you to repeat after me, Hunter. "
She closes her eyes and begins to say the spell. I close my eyes as well and repeat after her on every sentence.
"These four animals are animals no more. Give them the gifts of being human. Give them the human life that they deserve. Give them human thought and emotion. Save them from the doom of being no more than simple creatures. This is their will, so may it be."
After repeating the last sentence, I open my eyes. All of the candles, except the red one, blow out, making me terrified of what will happen. I wait for a few seconds. Nothing else happens.
Suddenly, Lainey takes the knife and cuts into her right arm. Her face expression changes into one of pain, but she continues what she's doing. I'm shocked. She holds out her arm and let's some blood drip inside of the candle ring. When three drops fall from her arm, she looks up and stares at me. Before I can react, she runs over to me and grabs my arm. I start to panic. I try to pull my arm away, but she's holding it too tightly. I'm struggling to escape. "Wh-what are you doing?! Sto-" Before I can even finish my statement, she cuts into my arm. I scream. It's just a small cut, but it hurts! She holds my arm out and lets the blood drip into the candles like she did with hers, which is still bleeding.
As soon as she loosens her grip, I yank my arm back. "WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!" I yell as the blood runs down my arm. But Lainey isn't paying attention to me. She's looking at the animatronics as if she's waiting for something. Then all of a sudden, the animatronics explode into paint, coating me and Lainey in crimson, yellow, purple, and brown.
I wipe the paint out of my eyes and I'm shocked. Where the animatronics were just a second ago were now four paint-covered humans. The spell worked! Lainey laughs with joy and the once-animatronics open their eyes. They jump away from each other in shock. But I just noticed something off about them... They weren't completely human. "Er... Lainey?" I say, attempting to catch her attention.
"Yeah?" she asks as she wipes off her face. I nod towards the animatronics and she notices the same thing. "Oh. Well, I guess that's what happens when you do the spell on robotic animals." The spell worked and the animatronics are humans now, but they still have some parts of their animal selves. Freddy has bear ears, Foxy has fox ears and a fox tail, Bonnie has bunny ears, and Chica has a pair of yellow wings on her back. The strangest thing is that the parts aren't robotic. Oh well. They're still humans, so I guess it doesn't matter.
"I-I can't believe that it worked..." Chica says as she observes her paint-covered human hands. Then they all run off towards the bathroom, most likely to look at themselves more closely. I want to follow them, but the pain makes me remember the cut on my arm. I wipe away a layer of yellow paint to see that I'm still bleeding.
"Hey! Lainey, I'm still bleeding!" I yell at her. I'm still angry that she cut me!
She rolls her eyes. "Yeah, yeah, don't get your panties in a twist. I had to do it for the spell. Trust me, I didn't want to do it either, but it needed to be done. There's bandages in my bag."
"Aren't you going to need them too?"I ask.
"Yeah, but I have to finish the spell." She holds up the knife again. I'm scared of what she's going to do, until she heads towards the candles. The red one is still lit. She blows it out and cuts the candle in half. "If I didn't do this part, the spell would have reversed in a few days."
I shrug and go towards the bathrooms. Lainey follows me. I really need to get this paint off anyway.
