The air was thick with the fragrance of marigolds and jasmine, the melody of traditional songs echoing in the sprawling gardens of the royal estate. Colorful tapestries adorned the pillars of the mandap, where rich silk draped the canopy, reflecting the lavishness expected of an Indian royal wedding. Yet, beneath the splendor, an atmosphere of foreboding loomed, unspoken and heavy.
At the center of this extravagant display sat Him, emotionless, a statue carved from the coldest of stone. Raghuvendra was every bit the prince, handsomely dressed in an intricately embroidered sherwani, but his heart lay shrouded in a veil of conflict. Faces around him were animated, laughter ringing like music, but inside, he struggled with the demons of his past. Their eyes sparkled with happiness, but his own dulled, reflecting a world much darker.
