" Rosy!!!!!" Someone screamed my name as I played basketball with Mira, then I felt a hand on my shoulder and someone jumping on my back! WTF!?. I turned ready to give the intruder an uppercut then I saw it was my cousin Ella. " Elly what are you doing here? Classes are over shouldn't you be heading home?" I asked as I ruffled her hair. Ella was my cousin, she's 15 but she's really tall, she's as tall as Mira herself. Ella had dark short hair but she always covered it up with a cap, she loved dressing like a boy and she looked good while doing it. At times I would joke with her and tell her that she looked good as a boy! We were really close but these days I hardly had time for her!
I turned to Mira and introduced her to Ella, they shook hands for long until the whistle interrupted them and Ella waved goodbye and left the court. We finished playing basketball and headed to the girls locker room, as we changed Mira asked " Rose your cousin Ella", I nodded and said " yeah what about her?". I wore my Simpsons shirt and turned to her as I tied my hair up. " Just out of curiosity, I wanted to know if she schooled here?" , I eyed her and said " yeah she does! Why do you ask?" . She looked aghast so she just turned and left, WTF! She just left without answering me! I walked out of the locker room and headed to the exit, I walked into the parking lot and said " are you okay?", she turned to me and said " am good, but I feel like going home straight so I don't think we will head to our burgers joint". I signed and nodded, then I brought out my phone turned on my Bluetooth so that my earphones could connect and then I played shameless by stitches by Shawn Mendes. She dropped me off and I turned without saying goodbye and went indoors.
When I got in, I suddenly remembered our last sleepover and the question that she asked then I remembered her saying something before I blacked out, I was confused as I tried to put together what my head was trying to tell me, I shook my head and said " no way!". I went into my room to freshen up.
After a quick shower and I have had my frozen pizza dinner, I climbed into my bed and turned on my phone, I saw a couple of messages waiting for me and among them was a message from Mira saying:
Mira: hi there 🥲, am so sorry 😔 about what happened, I don't know what came over me and i shouldn't have reacted like that.
Me: it's ok 😊 I understand, see you tomorrow.
Mira: thanks boo, ur the best. I'll make it up to you with a trip to MacDonald tomorrow, how about that?
Me; nooooo you don't have to, instead of a trip to MacDonald how about we just order pizza and hang out in my place?
Mira; hmmmm 🤔🤔 ok sounds good 😊.
Me: yeah, sooo see you tomorrow ok? Goodnight sweet dreams 😊.
Mira; goodnight 😘.
