Carina had arrived with Gabriella, her best friend, for their photo shoot. Today they were posing for Calvin Klein, and they knew that today's shoot would be for an LGBTQIA+ campaign, which would be released just before summer for Pride Month. The slogan « In Love, In Pride, In Calvin » sounded like a mantra, but for Calvin Klein, this kind of campaign was nothing new. Their commitment to queer communities had already manifested itself in numerous ads over the years.

Carina was a young Italian woman with long, wavy brown hair, sublimating her natural beauty. She had arrived in Los Angeles at the age of eighteen, and had begun her modeling career in Italy at fourteen, but when she came of age she decided to take off for « The City of Dreams ».

Now twenty-two, she had been modeling here in Los Angeles for four years. It had been a rocky start, juggling a number of odd jobs, but after just over a year, she had finally found an agency with an agent, and was now able to make a living from her passion for modeling.

Gabriella and Carina had been informed that the campaign would feature the National Women's Soccer League's star player. More precisely, one of the Los Angeles-based Angel City FC.

The Angel with whom they were to do their photo campaign today was a player with whom they had already posed on several occasions. Maya Bishop, a pure American with blond bobbed hair and beautiful blue eyes, was already an iconic figure in top-level sport. She was a centre-forward with Angel City FC and, at just 23, also wore the captain's armband. Charismatic and determined, Maya had earned the respect of team-mates and coaches alike thanks to her talent and calmness under pressure. She was a natural leader, inspiring the team with her ability to make quick decisions and change the course of important matches.

Gabriella and Carina had arrived at Milk Studios, a popular venue that was extremely well known in the fashion world and often used for campaigns by major brands such as Calvin Klein. The place was particularly appreciated for its sleek, contemporary aesthetic.

They had gone to the supermodel's dressing room to get ready with the other female models. Maya, for her part, had her own dressing room, as not all celebrities and models were on the same footing. Carina and her fellow models were dressed in subtly similar ways; some in bras and some in thongs, others in boxer shorts and still others in panties; each wearing outfits in the colors of the lesbian flag. For the models, the underwear was white with a white elastic band and the letters «Calvin Klein» representing the lesbian flag; but for Maya, the sole star of the lesbian campaign, her outfit was more daring: black, with an elastic band displaying the queer rainbow flag in all its glory and the tracery of the brand's letters, in white.

The models and Maya were to represent the slogan « Strong Together. Proud Together », the embodiment of lesbian strength and pride. Each celebrity would carry a message corresponding to their own identity; for example, Laverne Cox for the T of the community. Laverne Cox was the first transgender woman nominated for a Primetime Emmy. She was an emblematic figure in the transgender community. The choice had been methodical, as Laverne represented a powerful message in terms of visibility, but also carried a strong message of diversity and inclusivity. She perfectly embodied the values of self-acceptance and pride, which corresponded well with the spirit of Pride Month, and she would represent the slogan « Wear Your Truth. »

Maya, on the other hand, would embody the spirit of a close-knit community, proud of their love, with great strength and determination.

The models had finally emerged from the dressing room, Maya was already on the set waiting. A make-up artist was giving her a few last-minute adjustments, after the lighting had been set. The blonde's eyes had turned to the group of models arriving, laughing among themselves, but she'd only seen one person. When she saw Carina, she couldn't help but swallow and start to feel hot. After all, this wasn't the first time they'd been on a campaign together, and from the very first time, the soccer player had had a crush on the supermodel. They'd known each other for nine months, but with Carina, Maya was who she was with no one else. Flirtatious by nature, dredger, even with a reputation as a heartbreaker; opposite Carina DeLuca, the blonde was a little lamb.
