I groaned as I got up from bed, tired from the lack of sleep. "SKY! BREAKFAST!" My mother yelled from the kitchen downstairs. I groaned some more and rolled out of bed. "IN A MINUTE, LET ME WASH OFF!" I yelled back. I stepped into her fluffy yeti slippers and walked into my bathroom. I showered, brushed my teeth, got dressed and flew downstairs with my fluffy blue and white feathered wings. "Sky, no flying in the castle!" My mother scolded. My mother placed the hot coco on the table with a plate of cereal. I sat down and began eating my breakfast. "Why did I have to start at a new High School? And what the hell is the name 'Royale High'?" I asked my mother with my mouth full of Rice Krispie cereal.
"You didn't seem happy at your old school. And don't tell me that the name is weird, you used to go to a school called Enchantix."
"But at least it was fun."
"You haven't even gone there yet! Did you pack?"
"Yes, mom. The school already brought all the furniture and items to my dorm yesterday."
"Okay. Are you sure you have everything?"
"Yeah, yeah! Anyway, I got to go, Fitzgerald is waiting!"
I stood up and hugged my mom goodbye. I ran out to the limo and waved goodbye to my mom once again. My journey at my new school had already began once the limo started and distanced itself away from the castle.
I was the only princess of my element. Growing up, I was always told to keep away from fire fairies but society has changed since then. All main elements have been brought together in peace but my parents wanted to keep their daughter safe and told me to try to keep away from fire fairies. Once I started High School, I met a boy named Arson. He was one of the young fire fairy element royals. We both became really close until we argued one day after school. After that argument, I never saw Arson and I grew to regret that argument that was caused by jealousy. I grew feelings for Arson and turns out he did too. He set up a special surprise for me with the help of his friend who was female. When I arrived at the location of the surprise, I noticed that Arson was with another woman. That triggered me and I left the area. We argued over text then Arson was never seen again. There was no lead of his whereabouts. I didn't know what happened to Arson. What if he died? What if he got tired of me and just left? All there was were "What-Ifs". But there was a rumor going around at school that he left because he had an argument with me so that led me to drown in guilt.
The limo was then parked in front of the school castle. Fitzgerald opened the car door and helped me step out. I waved goodbye to my driver, Fitzgerald and entered the gates of Royale High. The knights bowed as I walked across the bridge entering the school. I stepped into the castle and read the letter that was sent that gave me a map and my schedule for me to follow the rest of the year. I looked around to see a bunch of students of different elements. Fire, Dark, Light, Ice, Water, and Nature. I followed the map to the front office like the letter instructed. I was greeted with the outgoing Poppy who gave me the key to her dorm.I arrived at my dorm to find it fully furnished and decorated to my liking. The room was really cold too which I loved. I flopped onto the bed and stared up at the ceiling. I felt a little better about starting at a new school. I had no roommates to deal with, no annoying classmates! Then someone knocked on my dorm door. I opened the door to find a female ice fairy. "Who are you?" I questioned the sudden visitor.
"My name is Janice! I'm a part of your kingdom!"
"Right.. Do you need anything?"
"Not really, I just wanted to say Hi. Are you free for lunch tomorrow? I would love to tell you about the school!"
"Sure, that will be fine. See you tomorrow."
"See you, your highness!"
"Oh, you don't need to do that! Call me Sky."
"Oh, okay! Bye, Sky!"
Janice skipped away happily as I shut the door.
